10-year gap to make Tarantino's 10th film; I want to live now!
Quentin Tarantino has prepared the script for his tenth film, but he says he wants to live a little for now.
According to Ambassador Arjan, quoted by World of Reel, no new film by Quentin Tarantino, Coen brothers, Terrence Malick, Alfonso Cuaron, Spike Jones, Lars von Trier, Wong Kar-wai, Michelle Haneke, Bennett Miller or Kenneth Lonergan has been released in this decade, and all these first-rate filmmakers have not yet presented new work in the 2020s.
In the meantime, Tarantino is a filmmaker who has always been in the news with the production of his tenth and last film, which apparently will not be released soon.
Tarantino has now confirmed that he has finalized the script for his 10th film, but he won't start work on his new film until he finishes Poppin' Rider. "The Poppin' Rider" is a play starring Sacha Baron Cohen, which is scheduled to be staged in London's West End in March.
"I've written a script that I really like, but I want to do this show and see who I am, then I'll come back and spend time with my family and live a little bit and then see what I want to do," Tarantino said.
Therefore, the script of the 10th film exists, and at the same time, these words show that "Cinema Critic", which this director once planned to make, has been completely rejected and now forms a new project and title of his 10th film.
Tarantino also said that he started "The Poppin' Rider" as a screenplay and then felt it needed to be a play, calling it a "genre jump of a flashy movie with the quality of a French comedy." This show is a swordplay comedy that takes place in Europe in the 1830s.
This show, which is directed by Tarantino, will start its preview from February 23 (March 4) at the Phoenix Theater in London, and it will officially start its screening on March 18, 2027 (March 27).
Producers describe the show as a fast-paced comedy of deception and cover-up set in 1830s Europe, inspired by daring adventure epics of the stage and screen.
This will be the West End debut of Baron Cohen, best known for creating the characters of Borat and Ali Jay.
Tarantino and his wife Daniela Peek have 2 children and their third child is on the way. While Poppin' Rider is slated to hit theaters by June, the earliest Tarantino's 10th film could be made would be 2028.
"Once upon a time in Hollywood" was made 7 years ago, and from now on, it can be said that he will experience the longest distance from the cinema between the 9th and 10th films, which can be even more than 10 years. He did not make a film for 6 years after making "Jackie Brown".
Of course, Tarantino was not idle in the meantime, and the sequel to "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" titled "The Further Adventures of Cliff Booth", which he wrote, is scheduled to be released in November. Directed by David Fincher, the film brings back Brad Pitt as former Hollywood stuntman Cliff Booth, who played him in the original film.
Tarantino has also written a novel based on the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is set to be published on December 8 by Harper Publishing, a subsidiary of HarperCollins.
