Vasima 6th in Longchamp, France

The Iranian horse placed sixth in the international competition in France, and now Daniyal Jabari considers this result significant for Vasima's first appearance at such a level.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the 4-year-old horse "Wasima" owned by Danial Jabari, in a race that was held yesterday at the historic Longchamp track in France, reached the sixth place among the 12 horses present. This result, considering the high level of this competition and the presence of a group of the best 4-year-old Arab mares in the world, is considered an achievement for Iranian horse racing.

This competition was held at a distance of 2000 meters and the time interval between the horses at the finish line was very close. Waseema, who was at the back of the field for most of the race, was one of the fastest horses in the field in the last 600 meters and managed to move up to sixth place.

Jabari said about Vasima's performance in this race: "The time interval between the first and sixth horse was very short. The first horse recorded a time of 2:14:19, the second horse recorded a time of 2:14:38, and Vasima recorded a time of 2:14:88. "In fact, we were less than a second away from the finish line and the competition was very close."

He continued: "Wasima was in the last position during the course and in the last 600 meters he was one of the fastest horses in the field and finally reached the sixth place among 12 horses. This sixth place is a great achievement for us Iranians, because the horses that finished behind Vasima are also among the best 4-year-old mares in the world."

Jabari considered this result significant for Wasima's first appearance at such a level and said: "It was a very good performance for our first appearance at this level of competition. This competition is actually the competition place for the best 4-year-old mares in the world, and Vasima was able to get the sixth place in such a field."

The possibility of Wasima's presence in Morocco's group one

Malik and Vasima's team are now checking the schedule of this horse's participation in future competitions. One serious option is to participate in a group one match in Morocco; A race that, unlike Vasima's previous experiences, will be held on a sandy ground. Daniyal said about this: "It is possible that we will participate in the next campaign in group one of Morocco. Until today we have run on grass and now we want to try our luck on the sand track. "We still don't know what results Vasima will get on the sandy ground, and this is our first experience in such conditions."

He also said about Vasima's rating: "Our rating will not change after this match and will remain the same as 52. The rating of the first horse is 53 and this is promising for us; Because it shows that the handicapper's assessment of Vasima's performance is still at a high level."

If Vasima performs well in Morocco, there is a possibility that this horse will participate in a race with a prize of around 150,000 euros in November. After that, a decision will be made about the continuation of the campaign and the possibility of participating in the Persian Gulf competitions. Jabari said in this regard: "After the Morocco match and in consultation with the coach and advisors, we will make the final decision about the continuation of the course."

Criticizing Iran's horse racing conditions

In another part of his speech, Jabari addressed the conditions of Iran's horse racing and the weakness of international presence and said: "The Iranian Federation has almost focused on horse racing inside the country and does not have an effective presence in international forums. "In the past few years, many international positions have been lost that we have been trying to achieve for years."

Jabari added: "We have almost built a wall around ourselves and our main concern is holding internal courses; Whether we have a match in Yazd or Gonbad next season or not. While macro management in horse racing does not only require infrastructure; "The important part is planning and looking to the future."

Jabari continued, referring to the experience of participating in international competitions: "At the international level, one of the main concerns is attracting owners and keeping owners in this field, but in Iranian horse racing, we are more worried about losing owners who may leave this field this year or next year."

In the end, he stated: "Iranian horse racing needs a long-term view and a more serious presence in the international arena; Because with the continuation of this process, the expectation that more owners will leave this field will increase."
