In a meeting with the cooperation of the Ministry of Communications, the representatives of information technology trade unions agreed to form the "Joint Commission for the Digital Environment of Children". This commission is supposed to be a platform for raising common issues of the private sector and formulating proposals that can be followed in the field of children's digital services.
This meeting was held on the occasion of Children's Week with the theme of "Taking advantage of the capacity of the private sector in the development of children's digital ecosystem". Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, the Computer Trade Union Organization, the Virtual Business Association, the Internet Business Association, the Online Audio and Video Association, and the Venture Capital Association were present.
Children's access to age-appropriate services and content, families' need for care tools, and increasing digital literacy were among the topics raised in this meeting. The attendees also discussed the role of platforms in providing services to children and the possibility of using aggregated data to understand their needs and patterns of using digital services.
Based on the decision made in the meeting, the present organizations should present their suggestions about the composition of the commission members. Also, the possibility of the presence of other trade unions in this commission has been considered so that the views and issues of different parts of the child's digital ecosystem can be raised in it.
I was an electrical student, I taught programming at the university, but eventually I became a journalist. The reason goes back to a repeated question from my fellow university student: "Why don't you write?". I am interested in reviewing financial statements and analyzing businesses.
