6300 MW increase in the capacity of the country's solar power plants
The Deputy Minister of Energy announced the increase of 6300 megawatts in the capacity of the country's solar power plants this year.
The Deputy Minister of Energy announced the increase of 6300 megawatts in the capacity of the country's solar power plants this year.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan from Mazandaran, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi explained the measures taken by the electricity industry to sustainably pass through the cold season of the year and stated: With the warm period of the year behind and the proper supply of electricity with the cooperation of the people, the plans are now focused on the sustainable supply of energy in winter; A period in which, due to the increase in gas consumption in the household sector, the supply of fuel to power plants requires special measures and extensive coordination.
He added: In this regard, the fuel storage capacity in Neka power plant has been increased and plans are underway to develop this capacity in Caspian power plant. Also, with the implementation of 60 operational programs at the country level and the cooperation of the responsible institutions, efforts are being made to provide stable electricity supply in the cold season.
Emphasizing the actions taken in Mazandaran in the area of power generation capacity development, Rajabi Mashhadi said: In the construction of new power plants, two 183 MW power plant units have reached the operational circuit, and besides that, the development of small-scale power plants and infrastructure projects related to the power grid are also on the agenda.
Referring to the setting of new records in the implementation of power plant projects in the province, he clarified: the first gas unit of the Neka power plant was put into operation in 120 days and the second unit in less than 100 days; Records that show the acceleration of projects in the electricity production capacity development sector.
The Deputy Minister of Energy added: The steam unit of the Neka combined cycle power plant will be ready for operation and connection to the grid by the summer of 1406, according to the plan. The completion of this unit, along with the created capacities, plays an important role in strengthening the province's electricity production capacity.
Referring to the small-scale power plant development program in the province, Rajabi Mashhadi said: According to the planning, the construction of about 64 megawatts of new capacity in this sector is planned for Mazandaran. A capacity that includes a significant share of the annual development of small-scale power plants in the country.
He considered the development of electricity transmission and super-distribution networks as another important axis of the province's infrastructural measures and said: In addition to the conventional projects currently being implemented, projects with the use of foreign financing have also been pursued, some of which have been launched and connected to the network in recent months.
He said about the future plans: For the future Mahmoodabad power plant, the required land has been secured and preliminary measures are being taken. It is also important to follow up on power plant projects in the cities of Mahmoudabad, Nowshahr, Sari and Behshahr in order to increase production capacity and respond to the growth of electricity demand in the province.
Referring to the development of renewable energies, the Deputy Minister of Energy said: the capacity of the country's solar power plants has increased to about 6200 megawatts, and it is planned for Mazandaran to add about 70 megawatts to the province's solar power generation capacity before the start of the cold season.
Rajabi Mashhadi emphasized: Development of new power plants, increase of fuel storage, strengthening of transmission and super-distribution network and expansion of renewable energies, along with consumption management, are a set of measures that are followed to increase the stability of the electricity network.
Emphasizing the necessity of people's cooperation to safely pass through the cold season of the year, he noted: Considering the increase in energy consumption in winter, it is necessary to save gas and electricity consumption. Citizens of Mazandarani, as well as tourists who travel to this province on holidays and weekends, are expected to participate in maintaining the sustainability of the energy network by observing the consumption pattern.
