Club Officials Begin Talks for Direct UAE Flight / Esteghlal Seeks to Rent Government Plane Again!

Esteghlal Tehran's club officials have begun formal correspondence to obtain permission for a direct flight to the UAE to face Al-Shabab Al-Ahli.

According to "Varzesh Se", the Esteghlal football team will face Shabab Al-Ahli in the Emirates on November 5th in the framework of the third week of the Asian Elite League. Due to the current flight restrictions, flying directly from Tehran to the UAE is associated with its own challenges and difficulties, and this has made the club's managers start working now.

The previous trip of the Blues to Qatar to meet Al-Gharafa was followed by many sidelines and reactions in Iranian football. While the Esteghlal convoy was able to go directly from Tehran to Doha using the government ceremonial plane, other representatives of our country, such as Tractor and Golghar, had to make long and exhausting journeys to reach Oman. An issue that caused protests and criticism towards the independents.

Despite these issues, Esteghlal managers are trying to get a direct flight permit for the upcoming trip so that the team can go to Dubai without the fatigue caused by indirect flights. In this regard, Esteghlal Club has started correspondence with the Emirates Football Federation to make the necessary arrangements for a charter flight and for the blue-clad players to travel to the venue of the match under ideal conditions.

In addition to pursuing the charter flight permit, reusing the previous method, i.e. using the government's ceremonial plane, is also one of the main options on the agenda of the club officials. Esteghlal managers' consultations in this regard are still ongoing, and it remains to be seen which of these scenarios will be realized for the Blues' direct trip to Dubai.
