Hashemi: Year's Slogan Must Be Turned Into Tangible Economic Plans

Birjand – The governor of South Khorasan said executive bodies must turn the year's slogan from words into action by presenting innovative plans in production, processing and employment.

According to Mehr reporter, Seyyed Mohammad Reza Hashemi, at the meeting of the South Khorasan Year slogan implementation headquarters on Tuesday afternoon, referring to the importance of naming years by the supreme leader of the revolution, said: a significant part of the slogans of the past years focused on economic issues and resistance economy is one of the most important strategies of the country to deal with economic threats and pressures.

He stated that this year's slogan should not be weakened by war conditions, and added: The managers of the executive bodies should work hard to fulfill the Supreme Leader's agenda and not wait for new instructions from the ministries.

The governor of South Khorasan emphasized the necessity of presenting creative ideas by the executive bodies and stated: reporting routine functions and performing daily tasks alone is not enough to fulfill the slogan of the year; Every organization should use the capacity of experts and university professors to present a new and operational plan that can be implemented in the province.

Referring to the agricultural capacities of South Khorasan, Hashemi considered the processing of advantageous products as one of the ways to realize the resistance economy and said: instead of selling products in raw form, the field of processing and increasing their added value should be provided inside the province.

Referring to the barberry production capacity in South Khorasan, he added: Using this capacity can reduce transportation costs, support producers, and increase the economic value of agricultural products.

The governor of South Khorasan also emphasized the necessity of supporting innovative ideas and knowledge-based companies and stated: Some people have good ideas, but they are faced with a lack of facilities or suitable space to implement their plans; By identifying these people, the custodian institutions should provide the field of activity and commercialization of their ideas.

Hashemi listed the establishment of a complete chain of gold production and processing as one of the other capacities of the province and said: a ground must be provided so that mineral products after extraction are processed inside the province and turned into final products.

Emphasizing the necessity of forming a specialized think tank to realize the slogan of the year, he stated: This think tank should be formed with the presence of capable experts and experts and its output should be concrete and implementable plans. Merely holding a meeting and preparing minutes is not enough without achieving an operational result.

In another part of his speech, the governor of South Khorasan pointed to the province's border capacities and said: "Using the Afghan market and strengthening exports is an example of realizing a resistance economy in action." We should use the available capacities to facilitate trade and increase exports and not allow administrative obstacles to destroy the province's economic opportunities.

Referring to the important infrastructure projects of the province, Hashemi emphasized on the follow-up of railway projects, gas transmission, road construction and water transfer from the Oman Sea and demanded to accelerate the implementation of these projects.

Emphasizing the need for targeted support for production units, he added: the experience of some industrial units shows that by reforming management, supporting human resources, increasing production capacity and paying attention to social responsibilities, the performance of production complexes can be improved.

In the end, the governor of South Khorasan called for the formation of a specialized think tank and a detailed review of the supreme leader of the revolution's menu about the slogan of the year and said: managers should provide the basis for the practical realization of the slogan of the year in the province by determining specific measures, using the capacity of the private sector and universities and continuously following up projects.
