Hamayoun Shahrokhi: 10 Players Must Retire from the National Team!

Hamayoun Shahrokhi, former head coach of Iran's national football team, has called for a fundamental generational change in the team's dressing room.

According to "Varzeh Se", about three months are left until the start of the Asian Nations Cup and the performance of the national team in friendly matches in September has caused concern in the minds of football fans in Iran. Homayoun Shahrokhi led the Iranian national team for a while in the early 80s and did not get very good results. At that time and after Bronko's temporary departure, we saw Homayoun Shahrokhi on the bench of the national team, and of course, after some time, Bronko returned to Iran and remained the head coach of the national team for several years. Now, Homayoun Shahrokhi, during a sharp interview, criticized the performance of the Federation's Board of Directors and, of course, asked to say goodbye to some famous players from the team's locker room.

In an interview with Ambassador Arjan, Homayoun Shahrokhi said: I believe that if there was to be a change in the national football team of our country, it should have happened immediately after the World Cup. Even in the technical staff, we saw this problem all over the world. If a federation was not satisfied with the performance of the technical staff, it would immediately change that coach. I am not sensitive to any person and I believe that anyone who has served the country's football and sports should be appreciated. But I feel sorry for the people, because they have one joy and that is football. It is better to make the right decisions for the country's football, instead of leaving everything to the 90th minute.

In response to the question about the future of players such as Hajsafi, Jahanbakhsh, Khalilzadeh, Rezaiyan and Alireza Biranvand and the possibility of them saying goodbye to the national team, the former head coach of the national team said: People want the same. I do not take names from anyone and I have no problem with anyone. But 10 people from this national team have to say goodbye. Just a few days ago, we saw that Ronaldo was kicked out, but Lionel Messi himself said goodbye to his country's national team, which was more beautiful?

Tell me who are the members of the board of the football federation? Does anyone know these? If you put the dough in the oven and cook it a few minutes later, is it a stone bread? A team that wants to succeed in the Nations Cup must have a preparation camp, a regular schedule, a good preparation game, etc.

The house is completely destroyed. Which sane person would think of changing the technical staff a few months before the matches? If this was Karbeled's board of directors, he would have even changed the technical staff after the World Cup, told the new coach of the national team what he wanted and asked him to rejuvenate. Also, one should not expect the new player to reach the finals, because youth has a price and the young person must make enough mistakes to reach the best form.
