Enemy's Ground Assault Scenario Failed in Ramadan War

The commander of the Army Ground Force, explaining defensive measures in the Ramadan War, said: The deployment of more than 51 combat units and the movement of 39,000 army personnel foiled the enemy's ground assault scenario.

According to Mehr reporter, Amir Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi on Monday morning in the honoring and introduction ceremony of the senior army commanders in the Fars region and the army's infantry training center, explaining the actions of the armed forces in the Ramadan war, said: army units from different regions of the country, from the southwest to Azerbaijan, were sent to Sistan and Baluchistan and the coasts of Makran and performed their missions in difficult weather conditions.

Referring to the enemy's attempt to provide ground attack to the country, he added: The enemy thought that with airstrikes and the assassination of commanders, they could pave the way for proxy forces and terrorist groups to enter, but the rapid and widespread deployment of army and IRGC units at the borders made this scenario a failure.

Strengthening combat readiness after the 12-day war

Referring to the measures taken after the 12-day war imposed in 1404, the commander of the army's ground forces said: between the 12-day war and the Ramadan war, the armed forces, by examining the experiences of the battlefield, revised operational plans, reformed the combat organization, and strengthened defensive positions.

Amir Jahanshahi continued: Implementation of preparation programs in barracks and strengthening of border units is part of the army's measures to deal with possible threats, and operational units are ready to carry out defense missions.

Referring to the assassination of a number of senior commanders during the 12-day war, he said: The rapid replacement of troops and the management of the command made the process of guiding the operations not stop and the armed forces gave a suitable response to the enemy's actions.

Defense self-sufficiency in the shadow of sanctions

Referring to the country's defense capabilities, the commander of the army's ground forces said: Iranian defense industry specialists and elite youth have made significant progress in the fields of missiles, drones and armor by taking advantage of the experiences of the holy defense era.

Jahanshahi, recalling the period of eight years of sacred defense, added: the enemies sought to divide Iran with the broad support of the Baath regime, but with the measures of the Imams of the revolution and the sacrifices of the army, the army and the people of Iran, these goals were not achieved.

Stating that the enemies have turned to the strategy of sanctions and pressure after the failure of the war, he clarified that the armed forces play an important role in protecting the national interests and security of the country by relying on internal strength and defense achievements.

Iran; Determinant actor in regional equations

In another part of his speech, the commander of the army's ground forces considered Iran's geographical and strategic location as one of the factors affecting the country's position in global equations and said: having wide borders, access to open waters, huge energy reserves and a pivotal position in the Islamic world has made Iran a decisive actor.

Jahanshahi added: Before the Islamic revolution, the country was in a passive position and national resources were affected by foreign interventions, but after the revolution, the armed forces, as the defense arm of the system, are responsible for protecting national interests and providing security.

Emphasizing the readiness of the operational units, he noted: the army's ground forces, with mobile offensive brigades, quick reaction forces, special units and mechanized forces, are ready to deal with any aggression and the army personnel consider it their duty to defend the territorial integrity of the country.
