Final Implementation of Nursing Tariffs in Social Security Hospitals

The head of the Social Security Organization announced the definitive implementation of nursing tariffs in the organization's owned medical centers.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Gholamhossein Mohammadi, during the Nurses' Day ceremony, emphasizing that we consider investment in the field of nurses' livelihood as an investment for the security and future of the country, he said: "In the Social Security Organization, we do not only look at the nursing community as a cost, but we consider strengthening their livelihood in line with strengthening national and strategic security."

Referring to the demand of the social security nursing community for the implementation of tariffs for nursing services, he added: All the necessary measures and approvals in this regard have been carried out, and after the preparation of the systems, the implementation of the trial pilot and the necessary coordination and training, this plan has officially started throughout the country, and the orders related to these tariffs will be announced from November and payments will be made from December.

Mohammadi said: Relying on the mentioned strategy, until further notice, the livelihood and treatment of retirees, pensioners and insurance payment is the red line of the social security organization, and with this approach, the livelihood of human resources working in related sectors should also be given special attention.

The head of the social security organization stated: In this context, with the cooperation of the Minister of Cooperation, it was decided to consider certain measures in the framework of the livelihood of the medical community.

The special role of nurses in services during recent wars

Mohammadi further pointed to the special role played by nurses in recent wars and added: First of all, we should praise the greatness and glory of the country's nursing community.

He added: In the period of Corona as a biological war, as well as in these days of the recent wars of world criminals against the Iranian nation, there are tremendous scenes of the presence and companionship of doctors and nurses. Hope that this national cooperation and sympathy for work will continue from now on.

Nursing, continuous social capital

In the continuation of this ceremony, Mohammadi said: We consider medical science and nursing to be the science of treatment, but basically, next to science, the practice of medicine and nursing is a continuous commitment and this is praised. As a social capital of the country, we must use it continuously.

He said: "Development of social responsibility and model-making in terms of commitment to Iran and the future of the country should be on the agenda in the context of the development of the culture of the work of doctors and nurses."

80% of the burden of medical care is borne by nurses

The head of the social security organization added: 80% of the burden of health care is on nurses.

He added: The more trained nurses are, the lower the rates of staying and returning patients to the hospital, and this will have an impact on the economy of health and social security, the national economy, people's livelihood, and the emotional and economic costs of the household.

Mohammadi said during the Nurse's Day commemoration ceremony: public trust and social capital are the most important aspects of the nursing community. Currently, the most public trust is in nurses and other professions such as teachers.

He added: There is a safe haven in the society that is distributed among different classes and one of the groups that promotes this security are nurses.

The activity of 17 thousand nurses in social security

Stating that more than 17,000 nurses are working in social security, the head of the social security organization added: There are more than 5,000 vacant posts in this field.

Holding an exam to recruit treatment staff

Continuing the Nurse's Day ceremony, Mohammadi said: After a three-year hiatus, this year, holding a recruitment exam to recruit four thousand nurses is on the agenda, and this action can be effective in providing the human resources needed by medical centers and reducing some of the work pressure of nurses.

He added: With the aim of compensating for the shortage of staff and improving service delivery to the insured and retirees in the organization's medical centers, the necessary permits and preparations have been made to plan for the holding of the human resource recruitment test in the field of medical and nursing staff this year and the recruitment of 4,000 people in this field.
