According to Mehr reporter, Farzad Rostami told reporters on Monday morning, referring to the comparative statistics of the first six months of 1405 compared to the previous year, that the realization of this significant reduction in road accidents is the result of a collective and continuous work, in which the safety of the infrastructure was demonstrated along with strict compliance of the regulations by the compatriots.

Referring to the 9% decrease in the number of accidents in the first half of this year compared to the previous year, he stated: 4,722 accidents have been recorded in the suburban areas of the province in the first six months of this year.

Reduction of traffic accidents and injured and accident victims

The General Director of Highways and Road Transport of Bushehr province attributed the reduction of traffic accidents and injured and accident victims during the first half of this year to three main aspects and added: The most effective part of this issue is the companionship of discerning drivers and their compliance with traffic regulations. These statistics show that road users, realizing their social responsibility, care more about safety and this participation is the main key to reducing accidents.

Rostami reminded: Also, the round-the-clock and jihad efforts of the roadmen throughout the province, who minimized the risks by implementing projects to improve and secure the axes, along with the effective support of the cooperating agencies including the traffic police, emergency and Red Crescent, have been effective in reducing traffic accidents.

Emphasizing that this reduction process should be continued with the continuation of monitoring programs and the promotion of traffic culture in the second half of the year, he stated: Our goal is to reach a point where we have the least concern about the safety of passengers and users of the transportation axes of the province, and this will only be possible with the continuation of constructive interactions between the devices and the people's support.
