The head of the Tourism Committee of the Islamic Council of Tehran announced the development of the capital's recreational infrastructure.

According to Arjan's ambassador, Seyyed Ahmad Alavi said: One of the topics that was pursued in the recent period of urban management was the restoration of some recreational infrastructures and amusement parks that were closed or unused for years.

He added: For example, Basij amusement park, which was one of the nostalgic facilities in east Tehran, was closed for about six to seven years, and efforts were made to reactivate its infrastructure.

Increasing the recreational capacities of the capital

Alavi continued: In addition to the revival of the old complexes, 6 more amusement parks are supposed to be added to the entertainment capacities of Tehran, and the Abbas Abad complex is also being considered in this regard.

The head of the Tourism Committee of Tehran City Council emphasized: The purpose of these measures is to create more opportunities for citizens' leisure time and improve the quality of life in the capital.

Development of tourist buses in identity routes

He also said: Tourist buses have been developed for routes related to Tehran's cultural heritage and identity so that citizens can communicate more with the historical and touristic capacities of the capital.

Alavi also said about the closure of some museums in Tehran: not all museums are closed and museums that needed to transfer their works to safe storage have been involved in this issue.

He added: In addition to paying attention to museums, the development of recreational and tourism spaces in different neighborhoods of Tehran should also be pursued so that citizens' access to these facilities becomes more balanced.
