Official: Record-Holding Coach Returns to Osasuna

Osasuna has decided to dismiss its coach, Ramis, and re-appoint Arrasate as head coach.

According to "Sports Three", the Osasuna club has fired Luis Miguel Ramis, who was appointed to this position in June, and once again hired Jacob Arasate to lead the team after the heavy defeat suffered by Real Betis (2-5) in the Spanish football league on Sunday.

Osasuna are winless in their last five matches and currently sit 16th in the table after eight weeks.

As such, Osasuna once again turned to Arasate, who previously managed the team from 2018 to 2024 and then went on to coach Real Mallorca, but was sacked last February.

The club announced in a statement that it published on Monday: "The head coach who holds the second record for the most appearances on the bench in the history of the club, has returned home to start a new project."

The 48-year-old Arasate, who returned Osasuna to the top flight in 2019, has signed a contract until June 2029 and will begin his tenure in the former position against Racing Santander on Sunday.
