Pre-order the SteelSeries Sensei Pro and Rival Pro 8K gaming mice with unlimited battery life
Becoming the best gaming mice on the market.
Steelseries recently unveiled a pair of mice that aim to shake up the PC gaming market. The Sensei Pro and Rival Pro, along with their Mini versions, will be available on November 15 for $179.99. The new technology doesn't come cheap, but these mice promise to offer several unique features to justify the hefty price tag. These include Steelseries' innovative hot-swappable battery system for what is essentially unlimited battery life, as well as ultra-high-speed broadband connectivity to avoid 2.4GHz congestion.

The Sensei Pro and Rival Pro are essentially the same mouse with one major difference: the Sensei Pro has a symmetrical design that accommodates both right-handed and left-handed gamers. The Rival Pro uses an ergonomic design designed specifically for right-handed users. Both are also available in a "mini" variant for smaller hands.
Among the array of features packed into the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro, one in particular stands out and that is the infinite battery system. It's essentially a hot-swappable battery system, very similar to what you'll find in the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro and Omni headsets, which are, in my opinion, one of the best gaming headsets on the market. Mice basically consist of two removable, rechargeable batteries: use one in your mouse and one to charge and go in a base station that doubles as a charger. You won't be constantly trading during each session either. Each battery lasts up to 120 hours on a single charge.
The UWB wireless connection avoids 2.4 GHz congestion
Sensei Pro and Rival Pro connect to your PC via ultra-wideband wireless (6GHz or higher), thus bypassing the 2.4GHz band used by almost every other wireless accessory on the market, including headphones, controllers, keyboards, and more. Combined with the ultra-fast 8K polling rate, you won't experience any dropouts, stutters or lag. For gamers still wedded to a wired connection for its reliability, this might be your cue to move on.
First class features and super light body
The new mice don't really compromise anything else. In fact, quite the opposite. In addition to the 8K polling rate, the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro are equipped with a TrueMove 42K Pro optical sensor that automatically changes DPI depending on what you're doing (i.e. shooting your opponents' navigation menus), a total of six programmable buttons that use optical switches that use optical switches with a PC-customized 100 million click rating. Low friction PTFE bearings and ultra-lightweight design starting at 49g.
If you're going to spend $180 on a gaming mouse, there's no doubt in your mind that the mouse you're buying is the best of the best. SteelSeries' new entries seem perfectly equipped to occupy this niche.
