Iran Badminton: Failure Without Pause!

Iranian badminton has long faced a serious problem: a distance from the level of major Asian competitions and persistent, relentless failure.

Iran's badminton has been facing a serious problem for a long time: distance from the level of important Asian competitions and continuous failure.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, the main criticism is that the athletes of this field do not achieve significant results even in some small and low-level tournaments, including competitions such as Fajr Cup, and sometimes they withdraw from the competition very early.

If an athlete fails to reach the finals in lower level international competitions, the federation must explain the purpose of sending him to the Asian Games. Do previous records and results indicate progress? Has the distance with Asian competitors been measured? Is there a plan to increase the level of competitiveness?

Experimentation should also be purposeful. When the result of multiple deployments does not lead to noticeable performance improvement and we are eliminated in the first round, continuing the same path requires a serious revision. Fajr Cup and small tournaments should be a stepping stone to reach a higher level, not competitions in which Iranian athletes fail to pass the first rounds. The federation must show what specific outcome the missions have and why the conclusion process does not change. The vicious cycle of failure in badminton has been going on for a long time and of course nothing happens.
