Russian Stocks Rise at Start of Main Trading Session

According to trading data as of 9 a.m. Moscow time, Russia's MOEX and RTS indexes rose by 0.06% to 2,422.92 and 909.2 points, respectively.

Moscow, October 15. /TASS/. Russia's MOEX and RTS indexes were up 0.06 percent at 2,422.92 and 909.2, respectively, according to trading data as of 9 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT) as the main trading session began on Thursday. The exchange rate of the yuan against the ruble fell by 1.25 kopecks to 12.433 rubles compared to the previous close.

By 9:40 a.m. Moscow time (6:40 a.m. GMT), the indices were down 0.09 percent at 2,419.35 and 907.85, respectively. Meanwhile, the yuan rose by 0.4 kopecks to 12.45 rubles.

The MOEX index decreased by 0.2% and reached 2416.58 units at the start of morning trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange from 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT).
