Obtaining the Ownership Deed for Shahid Kazemi Stadium Is a Complicated Process / Endowment Land, a Major Problem for Persepolis
About eleven years ago, Tehran Municipality handed Shahid Kazemi Stadium over to Persepolis, and the complex came under the club's control. Over these years, Persepolis has tried to renovate various parts of the complex and add new sections to it.
According to the report of Sport Se and quoted by Iran Sports, this stadium has been at the disposal of the Persepolis women's team for the past months, but recently the Persepolis main team also holds some training sessions and preparatory games in this complex. At the same time, during the past years, especially during the Corona era, the discussion of Persepolis hosting its official matches in this stadium was raised, but it did not go anywhere due to the opposition of the Security Council. On the other hand, there were discussions about adding spectators' platforms, enlarging the parking lots and creating new accesses to this complex, but they remained silent and did not reach the action stage.
At the same time, it seems that a major part of the silence of these plans and the construction project that can turn Shahid Kazemi Stadium into a more complete and modern complex is the issue of the ownership of this complex.
A few years ago, the mayor of Tehran, Pirouz Hanachi, announced that this stadium has been handed over to Persepolis, but it is supposed to receive the official ownership document to Persepolis. Later, it was said that this incident requires the approval of Tehran city council. On the other hand, in recent years, the members of the board of directors of the club, some of whom, like Mohammad Akhundi, were members of the Tehran city council, made a lot of effort for this purpose, and at one point it was even reported that the transfer of this stadium to Persepolis club has been decided and finalized, but the main issue of the transfer is obtaining the document, which is still involved in complex issues and is one of the plans that the club's management follows with sensitivity.
By the way, a few days ago, Peyman Haddadi raised this issue in a meeting with Ahmad Dunyamali, Minister of Sports and Youth, and asked for help from this ministry to solve the problem of the club, but it seems that the matter is complicated and the work to reach this ownership document is very difficult.
It is known that the land on which this complex was built is an endowment and was later handed over to the Tehran Municipality and then to the General Directorate of Sports of Tehran, and finally it was given to Persepolis. However, the Persepolis club needs to first hold a meeting with the managers of the endowment organization and after solving the issue in this organization and receiving the necessary inquiries, cooperate with the Tehran municipality. At the same time, the Ministry of Sports is on one side of the issue, but none of these institutions can solve the problem alone, and it is necessary for Persepolis to achieve its goal with the full cooperation of all these institutions.
