Need to Review Appointments at the Food and Drug Organization
A member of Parliament's Health Committee said the Food and Drug Organization will not review the performance of individuals who were mistakenly hired into the system.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, quoted by Khane Mellat, Aliya Zamani Kiasri, referring to the continuation of drug shortages despite the follow-ups, said: There are restrictions in the transfer of some drugs, but in such a situation, there are still groups that take full advantage of this situation, and in the field of supervision, there is not enough will to deal with these issues.
He added: In the health and treatment committee of the parliament, various issues have been raised, including the plan to apply Article 234, and we have held several meetings about drugs and medical equipment, but so far no tangible changes have been made in the field of medical equipment, and the Food and Drug Organization has not modified its management approach.
A member of the Parliament's Health and Treatment Commission, criticizing the continuation of existing trends in the management of drugs and medical equipment, continued: the Food and Drug Organization does not review its processes, nor does it review the performance of people who have been wrongly employed in this system; While it is not the duty of the parliament to remove and install managers and it is expected that their respective officials will review the performance, appointments and management methods of this area, but no effective action has been observed in this field so far.
Emphasizing the necessity of strengthening supervisions, Zamani Kiasri stated: The General Inspection Organization and the inspection units of the Ministry of Health are expected to perform their duties more seriously; Because many issues and problems are not properly reflected and are marginalized or ignored in practice.
He continued: Despite the efforts of the Minister of Health, these measures are expected to lead to more concrete results, but there are still problems in some areas, and in the end, it is the people who suffer from the consequences of this situation.
Referring to the capacities of the 7th Progress Program for organizing the field of drugs and medical equipment, the member of the Health and Medical Commission of the Parliament reminded: Some of the tasks foreseen in the 7th Plan have been neglected in this field, and the President, who was one of the authors of this program, must be accountable for the extent of the implementation of related decrees and the reasons for their non-fulfillment.
