According to the Arya Heritage report, Ali Darabi, Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage of the country, issued an executive instruction on planting and maintaining saplings in the arena and sanctum of historical buildings, textures and collections with the aim of protecting the cultural and natural heritage, preserving the authenticity of the works and preventing damages caused by unprincipled planting in historical sites.

Alireza Izadi, head of the Center for Registration, Preservation and Restoration of Cultural and Natural Heritage, said: The above-mentioned instructions have been compiled in line with the emphasis of the Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the field of tree planting and environmental protection, and according to the resolutions of the meeting of the deputies of the country's cultural heritage in the Council of Directors dated 26 Bahman 1404, and have been communicated to the provincial and headquarters general managers for implementation.

According to this directive, considering the sensitivity of the area and the privacy of historical monuments and the necessity of preserving the authenticity, integrity and physical stability of buildings, tissues and historical collections, all provincial and city administrations are required to implement measures related to the planting and maintenance of saplings in the framework of the established regulations while observing the protection regulations.

In this framework, the formation of provincial and city specialized working groups with the presence of representatives of natural resources and watershed management departments, forestry units, municipalities and rural districts, forest and rangeland research institute and other related institutions is foreseen so that the responsibility of planning, monitoring and coordinating the planting operations is on these working groups.

Also, the composition of the specialized group should be appropriate to the sensitivity of the site, including specialists in botany, natural resources, building restoration, architecture and protection of the historical and cultural landscape, and in archaeological sites, archaeologists.

Emphasizing the necessity of coordination between the responsible institutions, compliance with technical and conservation considerations, and the compliance of planting operations with the approved regulations, this instruction provides a framework for the principled implementation of tree planting programs within the scope of historical monuments, so that the protection of cultural heritage and the protection of nature are pursued side by side.
