"People don't see this side of him because the media doesn't show it, but he's been nothing but kind and cheerful to me, even since he's been gone," she continued. "He's also funny. Love him!"

Leavitt, who served as press secretary from January 2025 to August 2026, also addressed the question of finding another job after her decision to leave the White House to spend more time with her children.

"As Press Sec, I worked 60+ hours a week in the office, traveled the world and was always on call 24/7," he said. "Now, I'm at home with my kids every day and doing some TV shows. Those things aren't the same, ma'am."

When asked for career advice for those hoping to make it in public relations or politics, Leavitt encouraged them to get practical experience before graduating.

"My advice to people who want to get into politics or commentary is to get real-world experience while you're in college," he said. "You'll be taught a lot in the classroom, but work experience is where you'll really learn the game."

Leavitt said he interned at NBC Sports Boston because he originally thought about becoming a sideline sports reporter. He also worked at a local news station before interning at the White House.

"Just try to apply for internships, say yes to every opportunity you can and don't spend your summers hanging out, spend your summers working and getting that real-world experience, which will help you in the future."

Leavitt, who made history as the youngest White House press secretary, was also asked how she spends her spare time.

"I don't have free time. As a mom of two little ones, I'm lucky to be able to shower in peace. But it's the season of my life and I won't have it any other way!!!!"
