Separating Karun from Ahvaz Without Infrastructure Development Is a Double Injustice
Ahvaz - Representative of Ahvaz, Bavi, Hamidiyeh and Karun in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: Separating Karun County from the metropolis of Ahvaz without developing Karun's infrastructure is a double injustice to the people.
Ahvaz - The representative of the people of Ahvaz, Bavi, Hamidiyeh and Karun in the Islamic Council said: The separation of Karun city from Ahvaz metropolis without the development of Karun infrastructure is a double injustice to the people.
Seyyed Mohsen Mousavizadeh said in a conversation with Mehr reporter about the infrastructural and educational situation of Karun city: the separation of Karun city from Ahvaz, without providing the necessary infrastructure and creating facilities that meet the needs of the people, is a double injustice to this city.
The representative of the people of Ahvaz, Bavi, Hamidiyeh and Karun in the Islamic Council said: since the independence of Karun, the expected services and infrastructure developments have not been realized as the people of this region deserve.
Emphasizing the necessity of clearly conveying people's demands to the president, he stated: I can honestly say that in the current situation, the necessary will to create a fundamental change in Karun city is not seen.
The representative of the people of Ahvaz, Bavi, Hamidiyeh and Karoun in the Islamic Council added: One of the most important signs of this situation is the lack of administrative development, because since the independence of Karoun, not a single square meter of office building has been built to meet the needs of this city. One should ask which of the offices of Karun city is worthy of the people and appropriate to the position of this city?
Mousavizadeh pointed out the situation of different regions of Ahvaz and compared it with Kot Abdullah and said: Regions like 6 and 7 of Ahvaz municipality have similar conditions to Kot Abdullah in terms of population, but it should be investigated why there are such differences between these regions in terms of facilities, urban services and administrative situation. The people of Karun also have the right to have facilities and services according to the population and needs of their region.
Regarding the state of schools in Karun city and the lack of educational facilities, he said: Last week, in a meeting attended by Khanmohammadi, the head of the country's school modernization, development and equipping organization, and Membini, the head of the province's school modernization, the issue of school problems was raised.
The representative of the people of Ahvaz, Bavi, Hamidiyeh and Karun in the Islamic Council continued: In this meeting, it was announced that 10 billion Tomans will be allocated for the provision of air conditioners, but the basic question is, how many schools can be equipped with this amount and limited facilities? If we are going to answer the problems of Karun schools by distributing only a few air conditioners, we cannot expect a serious change in the education system of this city.
Mousavizadeh addressed the officials of education and school renovation and stressed: Compare the conditions of Ahvaz and Karun schools. Many schools in Ahvaz have more support capacities, public assistance and financial resources, while Karun schools are deprived of such supports. In some schools in Ahvaz, families and benefactors can provide significant financial aid, but in Karun, it is difficult to even find a school with the financial ability to support two other schools.
Criticizing the lack of a suitable mechanism for the fair distribution of educational facilities, he said: When there is surplus equipment in one region, but schools in other regions are facing a lack of basic facilities, a mechanism must be established to optimally use the existing capacities and help disadvantaged schools. The goal should be for all students, regardless of where they live, to have appropriate educational opportunities.
