Aref Offers Condolences on the Passing of Ayatollah Qurbani

In a message of condolence on the passing of the former Supreme Leader's representative in Gilan Province and former Friday prayer leader of Rasht, the First Vice President praised the religious, scholarly and cultural services of the late cleric.

In a message of condolence on the death of the former representative of the Supreme Leader in Gilan province and the former Imam of Rasht, the first vice president honored the religious, scientific and cultural services of that pious scholar.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President, in a message of condolence on the death of Ayatollah Haj Zainul Abdin Ghorbani, the former representative of the religious jurist in Gilan province and the former Juma Imam of Rasht, honored the religious, scientific and cultural services of that pious scholar and prayed for God's mercy and forgiveness for the deceased.

This is God and this is God of refuge.

The passing away of the great scholar and pious jurist, Ayatollah Haj Zainul Abdin Ghorbani, the former representative of the religious jurist in Gilan province and the former imam of Juma'ah in Rasht, caused great sadness.

That late scholar, during his blessed life, by diligently promoting Islamic knowledge, publishing the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt School of Infallibility and Purity (peace be upon him) and fulfilling religious, scientific and cultural responsibilities, performed valuable services in the field of religious guidance and uplifting Islamic culture. For many years, his presence in the stronghold of Juma's Imamate and the responsibility of representing the religious jurist in Gilan province are part of his religious and cultural services, the effects of which will remain in the historical and cultural memory of this region of the Islamic homeland.

I, along with my condolences on the passing of that pious scholar to the position of Supreme Leader (Madazla-ul-Ali), the seminaries, distinguished scholars and clerics, honorable people of Gilan province and Bayt Makram and their respected survivors, I pray for the deceased, God's mercy and forgiveness and for the survivors and all the victims, patience and great reward.
