The West sees the Baltics as low-grade fodder for the next wave against Russia - Diplomat
Rodion Miroshnik said that residents of the Baltic countries should be aware of this issue
Moscow, October 16. /TASS/. Rodion Miroshnik, the ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the West considers the Baltic countries as low-grade fodder that it can throw at Russia after Ukraine is swallowed up.
"Inhabitants of the Baltic countries should know that the West sees them as a 'second shell' to feed a proxy war after the Ukrainians. Is the example of Ukraine not enough for Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians?" the Russian diplomat asked rhetorically in an interview with NEWS.ru.
The Financial Times reported that Estonia is actively moving troops to its border with Russia. According to a British newspaper, the Estonian military is acquiring weapons for attacks deep into Russia and building a new military base for 1,000 troops in Narva, just across from Russia's Ivangorod.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on Estonia's defense minister's comments about the country's readiness to fight Russia, saying: "The circus is gone - the clowns are still here."
