Central Region Oil Company Exceeds Production Plans; Ready for Winter
In the first half of 1405, the Central Iran Oil Company exceeded its production targets in Southern Zagros, the west and the east of the country, and is ready to supply winter gas.
According to the Mehr reporter, citing Iran's Central Regions Oil Company, the stability of the country's oil and gas production flow is not only tied to the nominal capacity of the reservoirs, but the continuation of production in the long term is the result of the synergy of reservoir management, continuous maintenance of wells, readiness of equipment and facilities, completion of development plans and maximum use of existing infrastructure. This strategic approach in the operational areas of the oil company in the central regions of Iran—from the gas reservoirs of the South Zagros to the production and storage facilities in the east and the oil and gas fields in the west of the country, each of which has geological coordinates, technical requirements, and special requirements—has a double importance.
The record of the first 6 months of 1405 shows the realization of production beyond the approved plans in several key areas. In South Zagros, gas production goals have been achieved with 106% and oil production with 101%. Also, in the operational areas of the western part of the country, the assigned oil production plan was met with 103% realization and gas production in the Tang Bijar field reached 106%, and in the eastern part of the country, compared to the same period last year, the volume of gas production experienced an increase of one billion cubic meters.
These statistics, along with drilling operations, reconstruction and repair of wells, expansion of transmission lines, improvement of exploitation and storage capacity, represent the continuous efforts of this complex to protect the extraction power and respond to the country's energy needs.
South Zagros; Prioritizing gas production and maintaining the capacity of the fields
South Zagros operational fields are considered as the fundamental pillars of gas production in the structure of Iran's Central Regions Oil Company. The track record of this department in the first half of 1405 indicates that oil and gas production exceeded the approved plans; In such a way that 106% of gas and 101% of oil have been realized.
According to the statistical reports of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Exploitation Company, the volume of gas produced in this area in the first half of the year reached about 24 billion and 945 million cubic meters. In addition, in the same period of time, 6,700,000 barrels of gas condensate and nearly 1,400,000 barrels of crude oil were produced, which is approximately 6% higher than the approved obligation.
The weight of this achievement becomes clearer by examining the contribution of the main fields; because nearly 41% of the total gas of South Zagros is provided by the Parsian fields; An impressive contribution that reveals the need to take care of wells, facilities and complete supporting projects.
In the gas industry, the continuity of production power cannot be achieved solely by relying on wells in the circuit; Factors such as reservoir pressure drop, technical condition of wells, processing capacity and the need for major repairs affect the volume of delivered gas. Therefore, the construction and operation of pressure boosting stations and the construction of secondary infrastructures, along with the maintenance of wells, are considered part of the plan to stabilize the extraction capacity.
In this regard, plans to build pressure boosting stations in Safir Arjan, Kangan and Homa fields are among the important priorities of South Zagros; The projects that are pursued with the aim of supporting the harvest rate and improving the operational conditions and their timely completion play a fundamental role in protecting the production capacity of the region.
Also, the drilling and repair program of nearly 20 oil and gas wells in the five-year horizon of South Zagros Company is based on this necessity. Digging new wells creates new capacities, and repair operations on existing wells also bring the decreased or stopped capacities back into circulation; However, the final output of each operation will depend on the technical characteristics of the tank and well.
In addition, for the cold season and the four-month period of winter, the daily production of South Zagros is about 161 million cubic meters of gas, while the official commitment for this period is 159,600,000 cubic meters. For this period, the daily production of nearly 15,500 barrels of oil is also on the agenda.
The difference between the production forecast and the assigned quota indicates the planned potential, the realization of which is tied to the condition of the wells, the health of the equipment, and the operational processes; Therefore, capacity maintenance in South Zagros is not just a statistical indicator, but the main arm of fuel stabilization during peak demand.
East of the country; Production jump and stabilization of reserves for cold days
In the east of the country, the activities of the Sharq Oil and Gas Exploitation Company have progressed with a combination of a jump in the production of reservoirs, an increase in the capacity of wells and the use of storage capabilities. According to statistics, the gas production of this region increased by one billion cubic meters in the first half of 1405 compared to the same time last year; A figure that shows the importance of this field in the energy stability of the northeastern provinces of the country.
Gas fields of Nazbiran, Tos and Gonbadli are the central parts of this cycle. In addition to the production capacity of tanks, processing units, pipelines and storage facilities also guarantee the sustainability of this cycle; Especially in the cold geography where, in addition to the daily volume, the readiness to provide the peak consumption and the continuous operation of the machinery is of decisive importance.
In the area of drilling and setting up wells, the No. 97 well of Najiran with a daily production capacity of 1.3 million cubic meters of gas was put into operation. In addition, the drilling operation of well No. 4 of Tos field has been completed and it is expected to be put into production circuit in the middle of the autumn season after the completion of the surface structures.
The addition of these new wells, if it reaches the intended capacity, will strengthen the support of gas supply in the east; Of course, the actual amount of their participation in supplying the lines will depend on the reservoir behavior conditions, flow tests, facility construction and transmission capacity. For this reason, it is important to build surface structures and connect the well to the collection facilities after the completion of drilling.
gas storage; Complementary field production arm
One of the infrastructural strengths in the east of the country is having the Shaurije storage tank. Based on the data, until the end of the first half of the year, more than one billion and 770 million cubic meters of gas have been injected into the Shurijeh D tank, which indicates 107% coverage of the planned plans.
The process of gas storage is not a substitute for the principle of production of tanks, but it is considered a lever to respond to the seasonal ups and downs of consumption, so that the surplus gas of the hot seasons, during the cold days of winter and peak demand periods or production and transmission restrictions, is reproduced and the network shortage is solved; which improves the resilience of national lines.
Based on the details reflected about oil and gas in the East, goals such as the ability to inject 10 million cubic meters and reproduce 18 million cubic meters of gas are also seen; Indicators that, in order to accurately match with the actual performance, should be technically measured by separating the daily capacity from their total and periodic volume.
In line with the production and storage processes, maintaining the health of the equipment, technical monitoring and adherence to the standards is considered a necessity for continuous operation in this area. According to statistics, in the first 6 months of this year, more than 18,000 man-hours of safety training courses were held in Eastern Oil and Gas, more than 10,000 hot and cold work safety permits were issued, and 4 rounds of specialized maneuvers were implemented.
These kinds of technical and preventive measures help to improve human power and the resilience of machines in difficult situations; Areas where any severe temperature drop immediately jumps gas demand and requires integrated management of harvesting, storage, safety and technical reliability.
West of the country; Passing the assigned goals and collecting gasses associated with oil
In the operational field of Gharb Oil and Gas Exploitation Company, the record of the first half of 1405 shows the realization of 103% of the oil production quota and 106% of gas extraction from the Tangbijar field. Due to the dispersion of sites, topographical conditions and location in mountainous and difficult geographical locations, this operational area requires continuous monitoring of tools and continuous establishment of access ways to the wells.
In parallel with the maintenance of oil and gas production, another important infrastructural category in the west is the collection and containment of gasses associated with oil; A resource that is released when oil is extracted and will be lost in the absence of transmission infrastructure. The implementation of pipelines will direct this gas to processing centers and use it optimally.
In the same framework, the construction of a 12-inch Danan pipeline with a length of 48 kilometers for the daily transfer of 15 million cubic feet of gas with oil to the Dehlran pressure boosting facility is among the plans. The launch of this line will be the final step of the NGL 3100 plant's feed chain and will strengthen the link between extraction lines, gas gathering and final processing.
The real value of such projects is not just the equivalent of piping, but the connecting link that brings the well gases into the processing network and turns the nominal value into operational efficiency; However, determining the exact profitability and the exact volume of its earnings requires the results after exploitation.
In the field of facility maintenance, activities such as reopening the Babahabib road, modernizing the telecommunication systems of operational centers, optimizing Sarchahi technical service equipment, overhauling equipment and turbines, renovating the command rooms of Dehlran and Sarkan areas, and modifying the Dehlran desalination wastewater system have been implemented.
These measures cover all aspects of the extraction cycle; Suitable transportation ways make the transfer of personnel and machinery smooth, standby turbines increase the reliability of processes, and improving refining and control systems reduces production risk, all of which prevent unwanted stoppages in mountainous and difficult areas.
On the other hand, process safety indicators guarantee sustainable production in the west of the country; In the past two and a half years, no process accidents have been reported in the western oil and gas field, which is due to regular inspections, risk control, equipment health, and compliance with safety guidelines.
Continuity of mining statistics with stability of operational capacities
Examining the situation of three oil companies in the central regions shows that increasing the production rate and stabilizing the harvesting power is a function of a chain of components. In South Zagros, the increase in production goes along with the construction of pressure boosting stations and major repairs of wells. In the east, the increase in capacity has been associated with the development of the Najiran and Tos and Manor wells on the Shaurijeh reservoir, and in the western regions, the record-breaking production is linked to the control of burning gases and the reliability of the facilities.
The common point in all these fields is the need to convert the potential power of the fields into a stable and transferable flow of energy. Simply having a well ready without a transmission network will not add gas and oil to the system, just as the construction of transmission lines and refineries will not work without sustainable extraction from the wells; Therefore, the alignment of drilling activities, repairs, maintenance and infrastructure development guarantees the continuity of efficiency.
In addition, preparing for cold season uses requires an integrated look at daily extraction, storage inventory, re-discharge capacity and system health. The spike in gas demand in winter raises the sensitivity factor of the equipment, and any breach in the production, refining or transmission process makes the volume of delivered gas a challenge.
Having said that, the figures recorded in the first half of the year should be measured in direct connection with development and technical measures; Although exceeding the plans is a success in this period, but its continuation in the second half of the year depends on the behavior of the reservoirs, the stability of the wells, the results of repairs and the efficiency of operation.
In order to play its strategic role in the energy balance, Iran's Central Regions Oil Company is required to strike a balance between maintaining existing capacities and launching new projects. Continuation of maintenance programs, completion of unfinished wells, development of collection and transmission networks and intelligent exploitation of underground storage tanks are the pillars of this path; A path whose final evaluation index will be maintaining energy stability and uninterrupted delivery of fuel throughout the year.
