Amir Khosrow Afshar Ghasemlou's revelations about Bahrain's separation

Foreign Minister Pahlavi's revelation about the separation of Bahrain

Amir Khosro Afshar Ghasemlou, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs in Jafar Sharif Emami's government, who was previously Iran's ambassador to England, France and West Germany, defines the way Bahrain separated from Iran as follows: "This same Mr. Zahedi brought up the issue of Bahrain and we talked for a while and I told His Highness that it is very much a matter of Bagranji; Because we cannot waive our rights. During the entire Qajar era and the Qajar era's weakness, the Iranian government was never willing to harm the rights of the Bahraini movement, i.e. write a note or do something that renounces its own rights. Continuing his speech, Afshar Ghasemlou says: "Ever since I was speaking to His Highness, since I was in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and coincidentally one of my first jobs was the head of the British Department, we wrote a note to the British Embassy in any order, reminding us of our rights regarding Bahrain and that Bahrain is an inseparable part of Iran's territory. This sentence has become a cliché, Bahrain is an inseparable part of Iran's soil and it cannot be done like this. His Highness told me, of course, they opened their hands, "First of all, Bahrain is mostly Arab, most of them speak Arabic. Bahrain once had oil, it has disappeared, and pearl fishing is no longer interesting." From an economic point of view, it is a burden on our shoulders, which means that we have to spend a lot of money from the country's budget to spend on construction and other works that are ahead in Bahrain, so this is a burden on our shoulders... Therefore, Bahrain is a place that does not benefit us from an economic point of view, nor from a strategic point of view, having the Strait of Hormuz in our hands and our islands. Not from a political point of view, it has nothing else for us except trouble and expense."
