Abbaspour: Qazvin's Development Must Be Based on Justice and Attention to Deprived Areas

QAZVIN – The lawmaker for Buin Zahra and Avaj in parliament, stressing the need for justice-based development in Qazvin Province, called for greater attention to tourism infrastructure, water supply, and rural roads in the province's deprived counties.

According to Mehr reporter, Ruhollah Abbaspour, in the meeting of Qazvin province administrators with the vice president for rural development and underprivileged areas on Thursday afternoon, considered justice as one of the principles emphasized by the Quran and the main goals of the Islamic Republic system and stated: Development can lead to real progress when justice is observed in the distribution of facilities and attention to underprivileged areas.

Referring to the emphasis of Imam Khomeini (RA), the Martyr Leader of the Revolution and the motto of the 14th government in the field of justice, he added: attention to remote and deprived areas should be prioritized in development programs; Because even actions that are considered small in privileged areas, may be very important and effective for the people of deprived areas.

The representative of the people of Buin Zahra and Auj in the parliament, appreciating the actions of the governor of Qazvin in the implementation of large infrastructure projects, pointed to the project of transferring water from Taleghan to the west of the province and said: This project is one of the important projects of the province, which is being followed to provide water to different areas, including Takestan and Zia Abad.

Abbaspour also mentioned the Pasargad hospital plan and stated that this project was discussed in the past governments, and informed about the recent follow-ups to advance it.

The historical capacities of Buin Zahra and Auj have been neglected

He further criticized the lack of attention to the historical and tourism capacities of some cities of the province and said: Segzabad region in Buinzahra has a history of several thousand years, but the capacities of this region and other historical attractions of the province have not been introduced and used for the development of tourism.

Referring to the historical and natural capacities of different regions of the province, including Alamut and Segzabad, the representative of the people of Bouinzahra and Auj in the parliament called for a balanced distribution of credits and attention to the attractions of less privileged cities.

Abbaspour also pointed to the limitations of tourism infrastructure in Auj city and said: despite having natural and historical capacities, this city is deprived of some facilities needed to attract tourists, including suitable tourism and accommodation infrastructures.

Referring to the capacity of Yalegonbad hot spring and other attractions of the province, he emphasized the necessity of practical attention to these capacities to create employment and economic prosperity of rural areas.

Warning about the challenge of water supply in Auj villages

Abbaspour considered the provision of drinking water and agriculture as another important issue in rural areas and said: "Parts of Auj city face serious water supply problems during periods of low rainfall, and a number of villages are still facing challenges to access sustainable water sources."

Pointing to the follow-ups on water projects of the province since the 8th Parliament, he demanded a detailed investigation of the situation of villages in need of water supply and emphasized: "Deprived cities and villages should not be left out in provincial planning."

The representative of the people of Buin Zahra and Auj in the parliament, also referring to the statistics announced about the asphalting of the rural roads of the province, said: last year, 117 kilometers of rural roads were asphalted, but it is necessary to accurately determine the share of Buin Zahra city from these measures so that the amount of attention paid to different areas of the province can be evaluated.

Referring to the vastness of agricultural lands in this constituency, he demanded more attention to the infrastructure needs of the villages and fair distribution of credits according to the size and conditions of the regions.

At the end, Abbaspour emphasized the necessity of officials' field visits to deprived areas and said: He will invite the vice president for rural development and deprived areas to closely examine the issues and capacities of this area by visiting Buin Zahra city.

He emphasized: Justice in development is achieved when, in addition to large provincial projects, the basic needs of less privileged villages and cities are also taken into account in decisions and allocation of resources.
