If young people's professional identities aren't addressed between ages 18 and 25, talent drifts from one field to another; artistic potential is left adrift during the confusion of youth.

Hadi Heydari, a judge in the caricature category of the 33rd Youth Visual Arts Festival (for students born between March 21, 2001 and March 20, 2009), said: "This event is less about education and more about an opportunity to motivate, identify artistic talent, and map out the future path of young artists."

Hadi Heydari, one of the judges of the caricature section of the 33rd Youth Visual Arts Festival (specially for students born on April 1, 1380 to the end of March 1387), said: "More than having an educational function, this event is an opportunity to create motivation, identify artistic talents and chart the future path of young artists."

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, Hadi Heidari, a painter and press cartoonist, said: "Identifying talents alone is not enough, and there should be an effective connection between young artists and professors and art centers so that these talents do not remain alone in their professional path."

He added: "Youth visual arts festival is a motivating event before it has an educational aspect. Considering the age group of the participants, the presence of students from all over the country and the time frame of the festival, its educational aspect cannot be considered dominant over its other functions, unless workshops and related educational programs are held along with the festival.

Heydari continued: "Being a workshop of the festival is an advantage. In this event, students get the opportunity to benefit from the presence of professors and get to know their experiences and views. "However, I prefer the motivational aspect of the festival over other aspects, especially for students who come to the event from small towns and have less access to professors and professional training."

He reminded: "In developed countries, especially in sports fields, advanced planning is developed for basic teams and young athletes so that in the future the discovered talents can be used in the best way." "With proper training and being on the right path, a young athlete or artist can become a proud person in the future."

Pointing out that such an approach should be taken into consideration in the field of art, Heydari stated: "The aspect of finding talent in the visual arts festival is very prominent, but it can achieve the desired result when it is accompanied by planning for their future, because discovering the abilities of a young artist is only the beginning of the path to achieve results, education, support and continuous communication with the professional environment of art."

Referring to the National Elite Foundation's support for the festival's winners, this painter positively evaluated this action and said: "The duration and quality of the support should be reviewed and removed from the formality. There should be continuous links between young artists and professors of related fields and these people should not be left alone.

Heydari considered the support of young artists to be a responsibility beyond one institution and stated: "Other institutions should also enter the field and support art more than before."

Pointing out that youth is a time of searching for personal identity, the artist noted: "Many artistic talents at such an age are in a period of confusion. If their professional identity is not worked on, they will jump from one branch to another. By maintaining the links of connection and hope, talented and artistic youth can step in the right direction."

Referring to the necessity of paying attention to the economic aspect of artistic activities, Heydari said: "Not having a clear vision of the future career can be one of the reasons why young people distance themselves from artistic activities, so they should enter the right and professional path very soon."

The visual arts festival of Iranian youth will be held in Kermanshah from November 23rd to 27th in cooperation with the visual arts office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kermanshah province and the general administrations of culture and Islamic guidance of the provinces under the direction of Rizvan Sadeghzadeh. The host and organizer of the festival is the Contemporary Visual Arts Development Institute.

Also, "Let's not make water a flower" has been chosen as the theme of the 33rd festival, from Sohrab Sepehri's poem.

Students born on April 1, 1380 until the end of March 1387 have the opportunity to register to participate in the festival from September 14 to October 28, 1405.

The artistic disciplines of the festival include illustration, calligraphy, new art media, drawing, graphic design, photography, caricature, sculpture, painting, painting and ceramic art.
