The second season of Blue Eye Samurai is coming soon, and at the same time as the IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition event, important news about the new cast of the series has been released.

The new episodes of this Netflix animation will air soon, but you don't need to wait until then to see the first exclusive images of new faces; Because IGN has exclusively announced the addition of three new actors to the cast of this work.

The first new actor is Joel Kim Booster, who will play Pastor Ando in the second season. Below is an image of Jonathan Pryce as Old Violet. Also, the first picture of Shree Kola in the role of Kuma has also been shown.

For those not yet familiar with the series, Blue Eye Samurai is a violent and bloody revenge-oriented anime set in 17th century Japan. This Netflix series follows Mizo's adventures; A swordsman with distinctive blue eyes who is ostracized from society because of this. Maya Erskine is the voice of this character.

Dressed as a man and possessing impressive sword fighting skills, Mizu embarks on a perilous journey to find four white men who were living illegally in Japan when she was born. His goal is to find his father. The first season ended with Mizo moving to London and continuing his search, and in the second season we will see what events he will face in this city. Of course, it is unlikely that his trip to London will only be accompanied by drinking tea and eating traditional English sweets!

Michael Green, the creator of such works as Logan and Blade Runner 2049, created the series in collaboration with Amber Newsumi. Blue Eye Samurai premiered in November 2023 and went on to win the Emmy Award for Best Animated Program; A remarkable success for a series whose violent scenes and mutilation are an integral part of it.

The second season of Blue Eye Samurai will be released on Netflix in January 2027. Also, plans have been made to make the third and final season of the series in 2028; The season that is supposed to end Mizzou's journey and adventures.

IGN's Fall Fanfest event will feature 90 exclusive reveals in video games, movies, TV, comics, and collectibles.
