Technical Knowledge of Iranian Elites Should Be Turned into Investment and National Wealth
ARAK – Markazi Governor said that maintaining ties between expatriate elites and their homeland, and directing their knowledge and experience toward investment and technology transfer, can lead to economic development and national wealth creation.
Arak- The central governor said: maintaining the connection of elites abroad with the motherland and directing their knowledge and experience towards investment and technology transfer can lead to economic development and national wealth creation.
According to Mehr reporter, Mehdi Zandieh Vakili said at the Central Province Elite Day conference on Thursday afternoon: A quarter of the country's elites in the last 200 years belonged to Central Province and this region has played a prominent role in the history of Iran in the fields of politics, science, jurisprudence and knowledge.
He added: This province is the birthplace of 17 prime ministers and a number of prominent religious, scientific and political figures, including Imam Khomeini (RA), and has a valuable historical and cultural background. Also, about half of the fathers of different sciences of the country originated from this region.
Zandieh Vakili stated: Central Province, having about 2% of the size and population of the country, has more than one thousand identified elites, which doubles the importance of identifying talents and providing a field for the flourishing of scientific and specialized capabilities.
He continued: The continuation of the progress of the province and the country requires that the talents of the youth are properly identified and by supporting new ideas, strengthening the connection between the university and the industry, and using the power of experts, the field of turning knowledge into technology, production and added economic value is provided.
The central governor emphasized: The migration of graduates and elites to work in the frontiers of knowledge and research is not an undesirable issue in itself; Rather, the main challenge arises when their connection with the country is cut off and they stop participating in the development and progress of Iran.
He added: "The technical knowledge, engineering expertise and international experience of Iranian elites, if the link with the country is maintained, can become the basis for investment, transfer of technology and creation of new economic opportunities."
Zandieh Vakili stated: Iran has a special position in terms of the number of engineers in relation to the population, and the presence of Iranian specialists in international companies, if accompanied by the transfer of knowledge and strengthening of scientific and economic relations, will be an opportunity to improve the country's production and technological capacity.
He said: Despite the limitations, the scientific capacity of the youth and elites has played an important role in the continuation of the country's development path, and the independence and self-sufficiency of Iran is also the result of the nation's standing, the sacrifice of martyrs, and the efforts of experts in the fields of science, defense, and technology.
The central governor stated: The scientific and technological authority of the country is one of the most important achievements of the efforts of different generations of Iranian experts, and the strengthening of these capacities should be followed by supporting the elites, providing them with the basis for their activities and using their knowledge and experience effectively.
Referring to the breadth of elite fields, he continued: The elites of the country are not only active in the scientific and academic fields, but also in the fields of medicine, literature, art, politics and social issues, there are influential figures who play an important role in the progress and administration of the country.
Zandiye Vakili stressed: The elites and the academic community of the province should play a role in strengthening national unity and empathy by explaining the facts and informing the young generation about the goals and actions of the ill-wishers so that the country's progress continues with greater strength.
