The reason for the supply of frozen meat and foreign rice in the "Zero Inflation" plan

The spokesperson of the municipality gave explanations about the items offered in the "Zero Inflation" project.

According to ambassador Arjan; The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality, Abdul Motahar Mohammad Khani, said about the items offered in the "Zero Inflation" plan, in this plan mainly famous and high-quality brands were used; Imported meats from several different countries such as Brazil are prepared from the best foreign brands.

He explained, basically, there is no hot meat in the world in the sense that we consume in Iran; Because according to health standards, meat must be frozen to eliminate possible germs and bacteria.

According to Mohammad Khani, in addition to these meats, the excess demand is provided by fresh Iranian meat, and in order to integrate it, it is frozen with other products and provided to the customer.

The spokesperson of the municipality clarified that regarding the Indian and Pakistani rice offered in the Zero Inflation Plan, it was a matter of compliance with the status of Iranian rice farmers, and there was a fear that if we enter Iranian rice, the balance of the market would be disturbed.

Mohammad Khani added, therefore, since part of our society's consumption is non-Iranian rice and knowing that the balance of the market and the production of rice farmers should not be disturbed, the municipality started buying Pakistani and Indian rice.

This municipal official emphasized that the red line of Tehran Municipality in the implementation of the Zero Inflation Plan is to intervene in the market in a way that harms producers and farmers.
