Bushehr – The Arm District Chief said paying zakat is a valuable opportunity to share blessings, strengthen solidarity and fulfill one's religious and social duty toward the needy.

According to the reporter of Mehr, the gathering of "Thankful Zakat Kharma" meeting was attended by palm farmers and farmers of Rudfaryab village and other villages of Aram district, Hojjatul-Islam Hassan Mosleh, Friday imam of Barazjan, Hojjatul-Islam Seyyed Gholamreza Hashemi, temporary Friday imam of Bushehr and representative of the jurist in the agricultural jihad of Bushehr province, general director of Imam Khomeini's relief committee (RA) of Bushehr province, respected clerics, members of the Zakat council, villagers and members of the councils. Seyed Hossein Jafari added: As one of the agricultural hubs of Aram district, Rudfaryab village plays an important role in the economy of the region by producing products such as dates, citrus fruits and grains. Zakat is not only a religious duty, but an economic component in Islam to save the society from poverty and social harm and move towards a society free from deprivation. Paying zakat protects wealth from destruction and enriches life.

Appreciating the leadership of the people of this sector in fulfilling the divine duty of zakat, the governor of Aram said: In the last crop year, about one billion and 250 million riyals of zakat was collected in Aram district and deposited into the account of the Imam Khomeini (RA) relief committee, a major part of which was provided by farmers from the sale of wheat and dates products.

He considered publicity and cultural creation to be important pillars of zakat and asked the clerics to explain the effects and benefits of this divine duty to the general public by explaining the light rules of zakat face to face and in speeches.

Bokhdar Eram also called the cooperation of villagers, Islamic councils and zakat providers effective in increasing zakat payment and said: coherent planning and public participation can become the basis for empowering needy families and solving the problems of vulnerable groups.

In the end, he asked all the palm farmers and farmers of Rudfaryab village and other villages of Aram sector to pay their zakat on time as in the past and expressed hope that this godly action will increase the blessing in their life, property and palm groves.
