4,200 Jobs Created in Semnan Industry; Industrial Employment Index Improves

Semnan – The Deputy for Industry, Mine and Trade Affairs of Semnan Province reported job creation for more than 4,000 people in the province's industrial sector over the first six months of the current year, stating that industrial employment grew by 76 percent.

Semnan - The deputy of Semnan province's security affairs announced the employment of more than 4 thousand people in the province's industry during six months of this year and said: employment in industries grew by 76 percent.

According to Mehr reporter, Hamidreza Ghods, in a conversation with reporters at the General Administration of Samat on Wednesday morning, presented statistics during the first six months of this year and stated: The operation of these industrial units has provided employment for about 4,200 people in Semnan province.

Referring to the growth of the province's industrial indicators compared to the same period last year, he added: employment generation in the industry sector has increased by 76% and the amount of investment has increased by 149%.

Referring to the process of issuing industrial licenses, the vice president of industrial affairs of the General Department of Industry, Mining and Trade of Semnan province said: During the mentioned period, 317 industrial licenses were issued in the province, of which 106 were exploitation licenses and 211 were establishment licenses.

Quds continued: More than 127 thousand billion rials of investment are expected for the units that have received establishment licenses during this period, and with the implementation of these plans, employment will be provided for about six thousand people.

He also said about the current state of industry in the province: based on the monitoring, now 2 thousand 284 industrial units with operating licenses are active in Semnan province.

The deputy of industrial affairs of the General Department of Industry, Mining and Trade of Semnan province added: the activity of these units has provided employment for more than 61 thousand people with an investment of about 490 thousand billion Rials.
