Imam Juma Kharg: Nahj al-Balagha should be the basis of action in the path of justice and governance
Kharg - Referring to the experience of Hazrat Ali's rule, Imam Juma Kharg considered dealing with unfair privileges and maintaining justice in the society as one of the most important requirements of governance.
According to Mehr reporter, Hojjat-ul-Islam Mahmoud Kargar, in his Friday prayer sermons on the island of Kharg, pointed to the leadership of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s.) and stated: After accepting the caliphate, Hazrat Ali (a.s.) emphasized on confronting baseless privileges and changing structures based on the pursuit of superiority; An approach that was opposed by groups that saw their interests and position in danger.
He added: The experience of the Alevi government shows that the implementation of justice and dealing with unfair privileges is met with the resistance of those who benefited from the previous conditions. From this point of view, it is important to know the currents against justice and pay attention to the historical experience of the beginning of Islam to analyze the problems of today's society.
Referring to the classification of currents against Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) in the history of Islam, Imam Juma Kharg said: Qastin, Naqtin and Marqin were among the currents that stood against the Alevi government, and along with them, groups also followed a different path by withdrawing from the field of responsibility and resistance.
Applying this classification to the conditions of the Islamic Republic of Iran from his point of view, Kargar stated: Dominant currents, those with unfair privileges, deviant currents, and individuals and groups who retreat from standing up to pressures, each can create a challenge in the path of realizing justice and independence.
Emphasizing the necessity of knowing these currents, he added: the study of Nahj al-Balagha and familiarity with the biography of Amirul Momineen (AS) should be considered in understanding social and political issues; Because this work, in addition to its religious status, provides the society with important teachings about justice, responsibility and the way to face social and political deviations.
Emphasis on seeking justice and confronting double standards
In another part of his speech, Kargar criticized what he called the dual approaches of some governments towards human rights and international developments, and pointed to issues such as the severance of political relations with Iran, war and the killing of civilians, and the silence of some countries in the face of alleged human rights violations.
By criticizing the way some governments deal with regional and international developments, he emphasized that, from his point of view, human rights standards should be applied to all nations and victims of human rights violations without discrimination and regardless of political considerations.
Imam Juma Kharg emphasized the continuation of the path of seeking justice in the framework of the life of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) and stated: The Islamic Republic should base its actions on the principles of independence and justice in the face of external pressures and political developments.
