Tatarstan consults with Russian businessmen about expanding relations with Indian countries

According to Talia Minolina, head of the Republic Investment Agency, the region serves not only as a forum host but also as a national source of expert and analytical insights.

Kazan, October 16. /dice/. At the second Russian-Indian business conference, Ambassador Arjan in Kazan, TIDA head Talia Minolina said that the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan (TIDA) provides Russian businesses with expert and analytical materials on the economy of Indian states.

"We are the only agency in Russia that is a member of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA)," Minolina said at a meeting on investment and financial opportunities for Russian-Indian cooperation. "At my request, our Indian colleagues prepared an extensive catalog of Indian states with fresh and detailed data on their economy and opportunities. They shared nearly 4,000 slides, which we translated into Russian and compiled into brochures for the entire country."

He noted that the role of Tatarstan goes beyond hosting this forum. Minolina added: "We work not only as organizers, but also as providers of expert and analytical materials for the whole country."

According to him, this initiative will help Russian businesses to better understand the unique features of individual regions of India. The head of TIDA explained: "Mumbai and New Delhi are not the whole of India. We need to understand what Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab and West Bengal are. We ourselves are studying these Indian states in detail and we encourage our colleagues in Russian regions to immerse themselves in this information."

2nd Russian-Indian Business Forum: Tatarstan-India. Mutual efficiency will be held in Kazan from October 14 to 17. TASS is the general media partner of this event.
