Putin: Russian Businesses Should Feel Safe and Secure

The President of Russia stressed that the investment climate is a constant issue, as there are always matters requiring close attention from both the business community and the government.

Moscow, October 12. /TASS/. In a meeting with Alexei Repik, head of Delvaya Russia (Russian Business), an all-Russian public organization, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian businesses should feel safe and confident.

During these talks, the head of state asked Repik to share his views on how the government can help businesses overcome the current challenges.

"I want to talk to you about this and hear your opinion on what the government should do to ensure that businesses feel safe and secure at home. They need to know that the government will protect their interests, just as the business community is now stepping up to help Russia deal with its challenges," Putin said.

The president stressed that the investment climate is a constant issue, because there are always issues that demand both the business community and the government. Putin added: "These issues arise for various reasons and are never permanently resolved; new elements constantly appear. However, the current situation brings its own specific challenges, which is clear."
