This success is due to the selection of the Research Institute of Communication and Information Technology as the top executive body in the field of national standards formulation in 1404.

Evaluation based on expert participation in the development of international standards

The evaluation of Iran's National Standards Organization is based on indicators such as the number and quality of expert opinions and technical proposals presented on international documents, continuous participation in global meetings and justified defense of national interests in the process of developing artificial intelligence standards.

The performance of this committee shows the country's expert capacity to participate in formulating the technical requirements of one of the world's strategic technologies and influencing international standards.

Registration of Iran's proposal to compile the international standard of artificial intelligence

One of the important achievements of this committee is the official presentation and registration of Iran's proposal to develop an international standard in the field of artificial intelligence models, which is currently in the initial work stage (PWI).

This action is a step towards strengthening Iran's role in drafting international documents and providing a context for reflecting local priorities and needs in global standardization frameworks.

In the commemoration ceremony of World Standards Day, the certificate of appreciation of Iran's National Standard Organization was presented to Alireza Yari, the chairman of the committee, and Melina Efki, the secretary of the corresponding artificial intelligence technical committee. Mehdi Azizi Mehmandoost also works as the vice-chairman of this committee.

The continued participation of Iranian experts in international standardization forums, in addition to strengthening the scientific position of the country, can be effective in the formation of technical requirements and the development of responsible artificial intelligence governance frameworks at the global level.
