Investing one thousand billion rials for pistachio processing in Damghan

Damghan- Director General of Agricultural Jihad of Semnan province announced the operation of the pistachio processing unit with a fixed investment of one thousand billion rials in Damghan and said: this unit has created direct employment for 20 people.

According to Mehr reporter, Mohammad Reza Ghasemi, while visiting the capacities of Damghan's agricultural sector on Saturday morning, referring to the role of the development of transformation and complementary industries in improving the economic value of agricultural products, said: the establishment of the pistachio processing industrial unit has created a new capacity to increase the added value of this product in the region.

Referring to the specifications of this industrial unit, he added: This complex was built on a land of 20,000 square meters and 1,000 billion Rials of fixed capital was spent to set it up.

The General Director of Semnan Province's Agricultural Jihad stated that a significant investment has been made to equip this complex, stating that 650 billion Rials have been allocated for the purchase of advanced machinery and industrial equipment for this unit.

Emphasizing the capacity of transformation industries in completing the pistachio value chain, Ghasemi said: the development of agricultural products processing industries can help increase the economic value of farmers' products by reducing waste, improving product quality and providing a more appropriate supply.

Referring to the employment generation of this industrial unit, he continued: The activity of this complex has provided direct employment for 20 local and specialized workers of the region, which is important in strengthening the job opportunities of the agricultural sector and related industries.

The Director General of Semnan Province Agricultural Jihad, emphasizing the need to support investment in the field of transformation and complementary industries, noted: Agricultural Jihad follows the development of these industries by facilitating the process of issuing operating licenses and supporting investors.

Ghasemi expressed his hope that the development of transformation and complementary industries, while increasing the added value of agricultural products, will provide the basis for strengthening the position of pistachios in Semnan province in the domestic and export markets.
