Heavy Russian attack on a thermal power plant/Zelensky: Western allies did not give us any warning other than the attack

The president of Ukraine criticized the lack of warning from the western allies before the missile attack on the thermal power plant in Kiev, while the president of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed to establish an energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

The president of Ukraine criticized the lack of warning from the western allies before the missile attack on the thermal power plant in Kiev, while the president of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed to establish an energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan from Euronews website, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that a Russian ballistic missile hit a power plant in Kiev on Tuesday evening (October 21).

According to Ambassador Arjan, according to him, Ukraine had not received any prior warning from its western allies before this attack, although US President Donald Trump had claimed that there is an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Euronews wrote: Ukraine is heavily dependent on the information received from Western allies, especially the United States, to identify the imminent attacks of Russia and determine its goals.

This report states: Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, which has a population of about three million, has been facing the escalation of Russian drone and missile attacks. Energy infrastructure is one of the main targets of these attacks.

In a message on Facebook, Zelensky wrote: Russia's ballistic missile attack on Kiev. Once again, we received no advance warning from our partners.

He claimed: The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically Thermal Power Plant No. 4. Unfortunately, this power plant was targeted.

Ambassador Arjan's reporters also reported hearing several explosions in the capital of Ukraine.

Zelensky said Ukrainian systems only detected the missiles when they approached the city.

He added: This situation is completely unfair. While they are destroying our infrastructure, Ukraine does not even receive advance warning of ballistic missile launches.

Vitaliy Klitschko, mayor of Kyiv, also claimed that at least 2 people were killed in the same attack and a residential building in Desenyansky district was also targeted. According to him, about 20 other people were injured.

Euronews added: Residents of Kyiv heard the sound of explosions caused by Russian attacks between Monday evening and Tuesday morning (October 20 and 21), before the air raid sirens sounded. Such a situation had rarely occurred in the past.

On Sunday (October 19), Trump created doubts about the establishment of the "Energy Ceasefire" by publishing an unexpected message on the Truth Social social network. He claimed that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to stop their long-range and destructive attacks on power plants and oil refineries.

Trump has repeatedly criticized Zelensky for attacks on Russian oil refineries. He also said on Saturday (October 18) that "it's time for Ukraine to have a new president".
