430 urban projects were completed in Yazd

Yazd- The head of Yazd Islamic Council announced the completion of more than 430 small and large projects in the sixth term of the council and said: Completing half-finished projects and implementing construction projects is the priority of city management.

According to Mehr reporter, Azizullah Seifi, on Friday morning, at the 128th meeting of the Assembly of Mayors of Iran's Metropolitan Cities in Yazd, referring to the common challenges faced by municipalities in the field of urban management, said: Indecision about the timing of the elections of the city and village Islamic councils, due to the various opinions about the timing of the elections, has caused disturbances in urban management planning.

He added: In order to implement effective programs and advance the affairs of the city, we need the stability and stability of the management; Therefore, our request is that the time of holding the elections should be determined as soon as possible in order to avoid creating challenges in the city administration.

Yazd's request to implement the basic commodity price control plan

Referring to the proposal to control the price of some goods in Tehran, the head of the Islamic Council of Yazd city said: We request that Yazd be helped in the implementation of this plan to enable better price management and distribution of basic goods for citizens.

Seifi stated: Yazd Municipality has tried to play a role in the distribution and management of the supply of basic goods to the people by setting up stores called "Chaharsuq", but we are facing challenges in providing some items, especially fruit.

He asked for Tehran's cooperation and support to supply the fruits needed by these stores and added: By solving the supply problems, it will be possible to supply the goods to the citizens more appropriately.

Completion of more than 430 urban projects in Yazd

Referring to the performance of the 6th council, the head of Yazd Islamic Council said: Yazd City Council is one of the least challenging councils in the country and in the last five years, it has been elected as the top council of the country for four years.

He stated that the election of the mayor of Yazd was done a few days before the legal deadline and was announced to the governor's office, adding: Yazd was one of the first cities whose mayor was issued by the Ministry of Interior.

Seifi continued: At the beginning of the activities of the 6th council, the completion of half-finished urban projects was on the agenda, and during this period, more than 430 small and large projects have been completed in different parts of the city.

He considered the stopped and old projects as among the plans that have been completed in this period and said: the project that was stopped for about 24 years was determined and completed with the cooperation of the provincial officials.

Annual implementation of one million square meters of asphalt in Yazd

Head of the Islamic Council of Yazd City, referring to the construction measures of the municipality, said: At least one million square meters of asphalt is laid in the city every year, and since the beginning of this year, about 430,000 square meters of asphalt have been laid.

Seifi also mentioned the rains and floods in recent years in Yazd and said: In the last two years, the city faced unprecedented floods in the scale of the last hundred years.

In the end, referring to the capacities of Yazd's historical context, he emphasized the necessity of visiting this context by the mayors of the country's big cities and exchanging experience between the cities.
