Admission Requirements for Students in Adult and Distance Education Schools
The Educational Statutes and Regulations Commission of the Supreme Council of Education has announced the admission requirements for students in adult and distance education schools.
The Commission of Statutes and Academic Regulations of the Supreme Council of Education announced the conditions for the registration of students in adult schools and distance education.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report from Ambassador Arjan, these conditions are as follows: According to Article 15 of the half-year education regulations, the age requirement for students to register in adult schools is 17 years old and in distance education schools 18 years old.
According to Article 12 of the virtual school charter, the registration of new 10th grade students is not allowed in public adult schools and private schools.
According to note 1 of article 15 of the single semester method education regulations, in special cases, the special commission of the region can issue a license for students who do not meet the age requirements for registration in public adult schools.
According to Article 17 of the half-year education regulations, students with compulsory education who do not have the possibility to enroll in day schools due to lack of access to the school, distance from the road, or the absence of a field of study in their place of residence, can enroll in distance education schools. Students covered by this clause are identified and introduced to distance learning schools for registration through the local education department. (The use of this article is subject to the approval of the local education department regarding the impossibility of providing educational services.)
The priority of registration and education of compulsory education students is with day schools, and failure to apply for registration on time cannot be a reason for issuing a license for registration in adult schools and distance education. Therefore, according to paragraph 1 of article 5 of the regulation on the organization of the duties and powers of special commissions, the school council must issue a registration permit for students who, due to valid reasons, failed to register within the stipulated time, and education departments can issue a registration permit for students who are required to study in adult schools and distance education only by complying with articles 15 and 17 of the said regulation.
