America seeks to win the war of narratives by inverting the facts
Yazd- The mayor of Tehran, referring to America's attempt to reverse the realities of war, said: America, which has not achieved its goals in the military battlefield, is trying to present itself as the winner of the battlefield through cognitive warfare.
According to Mehr reporter, Alireza Zakani, on Friday night at the night gathering of the people of Yazd in the historical center of Amir Chaqmaq, pointing to the need to accurately narrate the developments of the war and prevent the distortion of facts, he stated: America, which has not achieved its goals on the military battlefield, is trying to present itself as the winner of the field with cognitive warfare and showing the facts upside down.
Stating that Iran is still in the middle of the war, he added: the developments and realities of this conflict must be properly narrated for the people and future generations. Because the accurate narration of events plays an important role in the durability of experiences and achievements.
Referring to the history of relations between Iran and America before the Islamic Revolution, Zakani considered the coup d'état of 28 August 1332 as one of the historical examples of mistrust in America and said: Past experiences have shown that trusting America and agreeing with this country does not necessarily lead to the implementation of its commitments.
Referring to the Algerian agreement after the capture of the American embassy in Tehran and also the JCPOA agreement, the mayor of Tehran clarified: According to him, Iran has fulfilled its obligations at different times, but the United States and European countries have not kept their promises.
He also pointed to the 14-point understanding after the Ramadan war and claimed that the US has obstructed the implementation of this understanding from the very beginning and Israel has also violated some of its provisions.
Emphasizing that the evaluation of the outcome of the war depends on the resilience of the parties, Zakani continued: In our opinion, agreeing to an agreement based solely on American promises and without guaranteeing the implementation of commitments cannot provide the interests of the Iranian nation.
The confrontation between Iran and America is beyond political differences
The mayor of Tehran stated that the confrontation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States should not be considered merely a political and temporary dispute, and stated that the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing independence, freedom, spirituality and justice, has presented a model different from the order desired by the United States.
He added: "Since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the United States has opposed Iran's desire for independence and at various times has tried to prevent the formation of an independent model from the domination of world powers."
Pointing to what he called America's attempt to prevent the formation of a powerful Iran, Zakani said: The main issue is preventing the formation of an independent Iran, which has progress and justice and is an inspiration for other nations.
Referring to the attack on Shajra Tayyaba Minab School and Rahpooyan School of the Persian Gulf, he considered these attacks as an example of the actions of America and its allies against civilians and emphasized the necessity of narrating these events.
Criticizing the viewpoints that emphasize the necessity of Iran's shortcoming in order to prevent war, the mayor of Tehran said: Iran was not the initiator of the war and the responsibility of imposing the war by the enemy cannot be placed on Iran.
He pointed out: A strategy based on which Iran retreats from its positions at any point to prevent war, may lead to the continuation of threats and repetition of conflicts in the future.
Zakani: America's withdrawal from the region will continue
Referring to the situation of American military bases in the region, the mayor of Tehran said: The recent developments should be seen as a sign of changing conditions in the region and increasing Iran's deterrence power.
He stated that the standing of the people and the military forces played a role in the formation of these conditions, adding: From our point of view, the process of reducing the US military presence in the region will continue, and the countries of the region should also reconsider their security reliance on the US.
Referring to the international developments and the positions of some countries towards the Zionist regime, Zakani claimed that the global conditions have been prepared for more cooperation with the Iranian nation.
In the end, he appreciated the presence of the people of Yazd in the night gathering of Amirchaqmaq square, and considered this presence as a sign of the people's support for the country and said: the standing of the Iranian nation has brought results and can be the foundation for more achievements in the future.
