Site Selection for Weather Station in Paveh Begins

Kermanshah – The Director General of Meteorology for Kermanshah Province, along with Paveh's governor and natural resources experts, reviewed several proposed sites for building a supplementary synoptic station in the county.

According to Mehr reporter, on Monday evening, Kermanshah Meteorological Director General Ali Mohammad Zoravand, along with Farzad Almasi, Governor of Paveh, Deputy Governor of Civil Affairs Coordination and a group of natural resources experts, visited several proposed points in Paveh city for the construction of an additional synoptic station.

This visit was carried out in continuation of the pursuit of the Governor of Paveh to fulfill the demand of the people of the city for many years in the field of setting up a weather station; An infrastructure that can help strengthen the monitoring and forecasting of weather conditions in this region.

During this visit, the geographical location of the introduced points, the accessibility and the technical and specialized conditions of each place were evaluated in order to choose the right option for establishing the station.

The establishment of the Paveh weather station allows more accurate recording and monitoring of weather information, precipitation, temperature and other weather indicators and can be effective in improving weather forecasting services.

The data obtained from the activity of this station can also be used in planning related to agriculture, natural resource protection, crisis management and tourism.
