The head of Iran's negotiating team recalled: Before signing the memorandum, I said that the Americans do not fulfill their obligations, that is why we arranged the memorandum in two stages because we did not trust them. That is, first we prepared for war, we fought well and achieved a strategic advantage, then we forced America to accept the understanding and we imposed a document of defeat on the enemy that the whole world said that Iran won the war and we registered the victory in the field and registered it from a legal and political point of view.
He continued: In addition to deterring, the memorandum also helped our military forces to become stronger, Hezbollah of Lebanon became stronger, and with this understanding, we found enough opportunities and resources to strengthen the components of our own power.
Qalibaf stressed: Therefore, when we say that we are both fighting and negotiating, we do not mean that we are fighting endlessly or that we are always negotiating, but we mean that we are fighting in order to make the enemy desperate and force him to give in to the rightful demands of our nation, and if he does not give in, accept defeat and give us concessions so that we can increase and strengthen our deterrence power again, and this issue is included in the memorandum.
