According to reports, AMD has already raised the price of GDDR6 for its graphics card partners, so you won't find any respite from GPU price hikes with Team Red.

We all know that RAM and SSD prices have been significantly affected by the memory supply crisis. But it's easy for some to forget just how much dedicated memory modern graphics cards have these days. And when I say "some" I mean those who aren't still trying to find an affordable Nvidia RTX 5090. Alas, the wider situation seems to show no signs of improvement.
Unfortunately for its Add-in Board partners, AMD has reportedly increased the price of GDDR6 memory bundled with its GPUs. According to sources at the Chinese forum Boardchannels, the price hike took effect from October 1 (via Benchlife).
If AIBs are forced to pay more for AMD GPUs, they will likely raise their prices as well, passing the cost on to the consumer. In short, PC gamers will probably have to pay more for Red Team products in the near future. We've been actively monitoring graphics card prices for some time, and unfortunately, this is not an unusual development.
In July, Nvidia made a similar move with the pricing of GDDR6 and GDDR7 cards. Reports indicated that the price of Nvidia graphics cards has increased by up to 30%.
Back in August, our dev advised gamers to avoid Nvidia cards with more than 8GB of VRAM, value your bank balance." It's also not just the price of memory that gamers have to worry about when it comes to graphics cards, but their supply is becoming increasingly limited.
As we celebrated the fourth anniversary of the RTX 4090 earlier this week, rumors surfaced that Nvidia had apparently discontinued the GeForce RTX 5090 in favor of AI data center GPUs. There's a lot of ink I could spill on the AI industry's role in the memory supply crisis more broadly, but AMD and Nvidia are having to raise prices for reasons beyond that. For example, various components such as PCBs also increase their prices due to the war in Iran.
In the end, it's a tough time to be a PC gamer looking to upgrade at a decent price.
