Communications services to Ukrainian troops restricted by White House order - Reuters
According to this news agency, the Pentagon received a message that the SpaceX Starshield service for the Ukrainian military should be slowed down.
Ambassador Arjan quoted two American officials and another official from a western country and wrote: "The order to limit the satellite system that Ukraine uses for battlefield communications and drone operations was issued from inside the White House."
The newspaper also quoted a senior US official as saying that "no such request has ever been made by the [US] president."
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky called the shutdown of Starlink for Ukraine a mistake and called on SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to restore the service. In turn, Zelensky's adviser and expert in communications and unmanned systems, Sergei Beskrestnov, reported that SpaceX has limited the operating speed of Starlink terminals for the Ukrainian military to 160 km/h. According to him, this "disrupted a number of operations."
RBC-Ukraine news agency reported on October 15, citing sources, that the military and intelligence satellite program Starshield SpaceX, which uses the Starlink infrastructure, has fully resumed operations in Ukraine.
