Emphasis on Religious Component in Cultural Programs for Children and Teens in Gilan

Rasht – The Director General of the Gilan Children and Youth Intellectual Development Center stressed the need to attend to religious teachings in cultural activities, saying: The special programs of this institution must be implemented with a religious and Islamic component.

According to Mehr reporter, the joint meeting of the general directors of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Youth and Islamic Propaganda of Gilan Province was held on Tuesday afternoon in Rasht, and those present in this meeting emphasized on the expansion of cultural and Quranic cooperation and the institutionalization of Quranic culture among children and teenagers.

In this meeting, Sajjad Kochnejad, Director General of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents of Gilan Province, explained the capacities and activities of this complex and stated: The center has provided various fields for the intellectual and cultural development of children and adolescents by using expert trainers and implementing more than 60 titles of cultural, artistic, literary, scientific and research activities.

Pointing to the place of religious and Islamic teachings in the center's book-based activities, he added: deepening religious concepts and effectively conveying these teachings to the audience requires the use of targeted and creative methods and the use of cultural capacities outside of formal educational frameworks.

The Director General of Gilan Children and Adolescents Intellectual Development Center also emphasized the necessity of interaction and synergy with active collections in the field of culture and said: the center welcomes cooperation with cultural and religious institutions, especially the presence of creative and active clergy in the field of children and adolescents.

Emphasizing the necessity of including religious and Quranic teachings and messages in the text of cultural programs, Kochchnajad stated: using creative methods and appropriate to the needs of the audience, the field of transferring religious concepts to children and teenagers should be provided, and the center's programs and rituals should be accompanied by religious and Islamic connection.

Referring to the capacity of the audience for religious and Quranic activities in the intellectual development center for children and teenagers and the language center of Gilan province, he noted: There are many platforms for the development of Quranic cooperation between cultural groups, which can be used to implement joint programs.

The Director General of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents of Gilan Province stated that the holding of storytelling workshops, Quranic competitions, joint Quranic conferences and circles, and the production of content suitable for the age group of children and teenagers to be published in the virtual space and social networks are among the fields of cooperation with Islamic propaganda.

This meeting was held with the aim of strengthening the interaction between the two cultural groups and developing joint programs in the field of promoting the culture of the Qur'an and religious teachings among children and teenagers.
