Former "Saturday Night Live" star Igo Nodim hit back at host Shane Gillies' controversial monologue about women working out with a photo of his gym.
Gillis hosted last Saturday's episode of "SNL," and her monologue went viral for her jokes about women who work out in skimpy outfits.
I haven't been to the gym in ages and I didn't know women only dress like whores now? Gillis said in his monologue to groans from the audience. "Look, I'm sorry, there's no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I've seen it. Have you seen the panties? They're the neon, like fake bait [pants], and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and they all come together in the hole. And don't let it look like that! I'm on 10 TikToks right now in the background.
On Monday, Nadeem shared a photo of herself at the gym with the caption, "Slut reporting for duty" on her Instagram story. He followed that up with a picture of his post-workout meal, captioned "Getting 30 grams of protein after my body." After joining in 2018 and staying for seven seasons, Nwodim left "SNL" before the current 51st season.
His comments came after Gillis' monologue also drew the ire of Dan Levy, who posted a scathing response to Gillis' jokes on Sunday night.
Levy wrote: "Women wearing shorts to the gym doesn't make them whores. It makes men call them misogynistic whores. Here's the difference. By the way, I've seen more men's nipples in the gym than women showing their bodies." "But I'm not talking about the fact that something like this can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to stand up to it because it's complacent that it's created an environment where women are being sexually assaulted and it's a 'conversation' not a 'crime.'
