Hamadan – With an ancient history and civilization in Iran, Hamadan Province is hosting a comprehensive account of its historical and cultural identity in the form of an encyclopedia of the province's culture, civilization, and notable figures. Compiling hundreds of research works in history, geography, notable figures, rituals, language, and art, the collection seeks to record this land's heritage and pass it on to future generations.

Iran's Arjan Provinces Service (Arjan Ambassador): The culture, civilization and celebrities of each nation is a historical birth certificate of that nation's history and shows the knowledge of the conditions of the predecessors; The knowledge that lights the light of lesson from far and near horizons in front of us.

Knowing the history and culture of Iran, especially the history of its various regions, is easy and difficult, although many efforts have been made in this field and active centers and valuable works have emerged in some areas, including Hamedan, but these efforts are still not sufficient and do not respond to the needs, interests and interests of today's society and audiences.

Hamedan, known as "Daral-ul-Momenin" and "the capital of Iran's history and civilization", has a long history in the culture and civilization of Iran and the world, the capacities of this ancient land in the fields of human and natural geography, historical and political geography, influential scientific, literary and philosophical figures, anthropology, traditional arts, rituals, languages and dialects, historical monuments, tourist attractions, celebrities and social and political movements. It is very abundant.

Based on this, "Hamadanology Center", with the support of twelve years of work and activity of Daneshnameh province and with the memory of the deceased members of Daneshnameh Scientific Council, Zindiad Alireza Zakavati Qaragazlu and Zindiad Parviz Azkaei, officially announced its vision and plans in the form of a new structure with more depth and scope.

Tell us about the Hamadan encyclopedia and the necessity of its compilation.

Knowledge book of culture, civilization and celebrities of Hamedan province is a complete collection to know and introduce the cultural and historical background of Hamedan in the geographical area of Hamedan province from ancient times until now and all the ethnic and cultural regions of the province and includes more than 300 book volumes and many other products in two parts.

The main part is the alphabetical entries, which is a prediction of 12 turquoise volumes in the Rahli cut, which includes celebrities, cities, villages, spaces and places, food and clothing, customs, crafts, folk idioms, etc. The attached section also includes the certificate in the form of books in various titles and topics with more than 250 volumes and each book in two parts.

In addition, it includes artistic and literary attachments such as movies, music albums, photos and collections of artists' works in the form of attached books in different pieces in brown color on the mentioned subjects and special works of children and teenagers, as well as multimedia software.

In short, the production of Hamedan province's science journal works including entry and topic researches; Along with the production of written, digital (virtual) works and cultural, artistic and literary products in two areas, including 42 works published so far, 38 works in the stages of preparation for printing and 300 works in other stages.

The encyclopedia, in the scope of the old and new areas of Hamadan province, includes the pre-Islamic (ancient) era, the Islamic era and the modern era, and in 9 axes and subcategories of each at the province level, it includes the generalities of Hamadanology, nature and geography, economy (industry, mining, commerce, agriculture, tourism and services), and political history, social context, culture, literature and art, religion, mysticism and Arabic literature, historical landscape, architecture and urban planning and management.

What effect does the encyclopedia have on promoting public culture and better knowledge of the province?

Certainly, the encyclopedia has an effect in promoting public culture, considering the fault that happened between generations and the unfortunate gap that has formed, we are trying to fill it with knowledge of the past and creating identity. Also, we got in touch with some nobles so that reverse migration from Tehran and different cities to Hamadan will take place again. In this regard, in the works we produce, we have also planned products for teenagers and young people that we can have in the form of clips and applications, or through artificial intelligence, although it depends on who participates and how helpful it is.

What effects can the encyclopedia have on the systematic knowledge of the province's identity and culture?

Due to the fact that the activity of the encyclopedia works in various axes in 9 working groups and 9 main axes, including urban appearance, architecture, economy, tourism, literature and celebrities, etc., all these are a discipline for the culture of Hamedan in the future and it is a way to systematize things and pursue the cultural development of Hamedan and ultimately help balanced development because balanced development is the factor of Hamedan's progress and this is a puzzle that can pave this path.

What are your plans for digitalization and online encyclopedia?

While visiting several provinces, we noticed that some provinces have also started digitizing their city's encyclopedia, and in Hamedan, this issue has also started with the creation of a separate site. For this purpose, we will start alphabetically and by entry, and with the cooperation and efforts of the site manager, it will be uploaded after the preliminary work is done.
