Varmaghani: Release of Zhaveh Dam Water Under Review if No Agricultural Solution Is Found

Sanandaj – Kurdistan Province's deputy governor for political, security, and social affairs said: If research does not offer a way to use Zhaveh Dam water for agriculture, a decision on releasing the water will be made by the provincial security council.

Sanandaj - Deputy political, security and social affairs governor of Kurdistan said: If the researches do not provide a solution for the agricultural use of the water of Javeh Dam, a decision will be made about the release of water in the province's supply council.

According to Ambassador Arjan Aliakbar Vermaghani, in the "Sustainable Development, Challenges, Solutions and Future Prospects of Javahroud" conference, which was held in the 300-year-old Khanqah of Dolab village, he considered culture as the foundation of sustainable development and stated: Without cultural development, it will not be possible to achieve balanced development in the economic, civil and social sectors.

Stating that the priority of public interests over individual interests is one of the requirements of development, he added: Javahroud has a rich historical and cultural background, and the people of this region, with their cultural authenticity, are considered a valuable capacity for its progress and development.

The deputy governor of Kurdistan emphasized the role of the people in realizing the development of the region and said: No one is as sympathetic to the fate of Javahrud as the native people, and now that they have taken the first step, the officials should also provide the ground for the development of this region by fulfilling their legal duties.

Vermaghani pointed out the necessity of a comprehensive approach to the development of villages and pointed out: the development of rural areas should not be limited to the implementation of construction projects, but sectors such as transformation industries, horticulture and handicrafts should also be taken into account in order to provide the basis for economic prosperity and strengthening local capacities.

People's health is the priority for decision-making about the Xavah Dam

In another part of his speech, he addressed the issue of the Javeh dam and said: This dam has been implemented and re-creating criticisms of past decisions will not solve the problem. Therefore, instead of focusing on the past, a practical solution should be provided to fix the shortcomings and determine the tasks of the existing issues.

The political, security and social deputy of the Kurdistan governor emphasized the priority of people's health and stated: If the studies and researches do not lead to a solution for the use of water from the Javeh dam in the agricultural sector, the issue of water release will be investigated and a decision will be made in the province's supply council.

Pursuing the global registration of Sama Qadri along with the cultural development of Javahroud

Vermaghani also pointed to the world registration of Horaman and the start of the world registration process of Ghar Karfto, and expressed hope that the world registration case of Sama Qadri will also reach the desired result.

On the sidelines of this conference, the unveiling ceremony and the start of the process of preparing the world registration file of Sama Qadri as an intangible heritage of humanity was held. Also, the magazine "Bir and Birmand" was unveiled as the first specialized publication of Javahrud region.
