A Colorado staffer reportedly left behind an offensive script in the hotel bar where Texas Tech fans stayed before the game in Boulder.

"I liked it when Tim Sanders was good, but the more you watched it, the more you knew it was a Trojan horse, a house of cards, do whatever you want."
More than a week after Colorado's offensive script was posted on social media by a Texas Tech fan during the teams' game, head coach Deion Sanders is trying to put the embarrassment behind him.
It was the first time Sanders was asked about the viral situation, which left college football fans scouring the game footage in an attempt to determine if the script was legit.
As LSU, Texas A&M and Oregon prove, college football's mega rosters don't have a return on investment.
On Friday night before Texas Tech took on Colorado in Boulder, Red Raiders fans were treated to alleged plays from the Buffaloes' offensive game plan. This information eventually made its way to message boards and social media.
When Colorado plays at home in Boulder, the team usually stays at a nearby hotel in the Broomfield area, just a few miles from the stadium. On this occasion, a script of the plays was apparently left in the hotel bar, where a number of Texas Tech fans were also staying.
"A whole book of plays. So someone left a whole book of plays or a script of several plays," Sanders asked the reporter. "I don't think we have a perfect playbook, I think they have a script. I thought we scored on the last drive...so, what's the point of the question."
So, did a Colorado staffer have the playbook sitting at the team's hotel bar?
In this case, it's pretty easy to see that Deion Sanders knew there was a mistake made by a staff member, who likely found out the moment it became public. But, obviously, it wasn't something Sanders was losing too much sleep over.
Or he was embarrassed by it all, so deviating was the best course of action. When asked if he would investigate the matter further, Sanders responded with questions of his own.
"Why should, it's over," Sanders began. "Game over, why would we? We probably know a lot more than you think. A complete playbook? Come on man."

When asked about the script's consistency with the plays Colorado ran on their opening drives, Dion apparently noted the fact that a Buffaloes staff member left the script in a hotel bar.
Deion Sanders took several jabs at his critics after Colorado stunned Georgia Tech.
"Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it happens. I've seen it and heard it at the professional level as well as at the college level. But, I think we scored on the first drive, so I guess it didn't work."
But, the bigger question is why, and if, the Colorado coach was concerned about the fact that one of his staff had left a script of a play. Sitting in the bar of the team's hotel.
Sanders declared, "I think if somebody had left it, they would have left it. It's wrong, what am I going to do about it? It's over." "Let's go, let's go. We can have the 10th or 5th game of the opposing team's juniors, we still have to stop it.
When you get something like that, do you really trust it as a coach? So was this a fake script or was it real? For example, this is what you think as a coach. "If someone calls us and says Utah gave up the first 20 plays of their script, I'm not going to believe it."

The drama, even with a playbook, has become the story of Buffalo football
Okay, as much as Deion Sanders wants to put this whole thing behind him, this is just the latest example of some of the weirder things that have happened during his tenure in Colorado.
And as we've written over the past few months, the success continues for those in the Buffaloes football program.

But, at least we can read between the lines of what Sanders hinted at on Tuesday afternoon.
Yes, it looks like a staff member passed around a script of the play intended for Colorado Crime.
No, Sanders wasn't going to make it a bigger deal than it already is. But if Deion Sanders can't get things right in Boulder, a script might not be the only thing leaving Boulder.
The clock is telling how long Deion Sanders is willing to deal with the malignity surrounding the Colorado football program he built.
