According to Ambassador Arjan, according to the information available in historical documents and books, one of the neighborhoods of the Safavid period was known as "Chaharsuq Ali Qali-Agha". In this neighborhood, a collection of muqaf buildings, including a mosque, a tavern, a bathhouse, a bazaar, and a caravanserai, have been created by one of the noblemen of the late Safavid period named "Ali Qali-Agha", whose income from the rent of its shops, etc., has been spent on maintaining and repairing the mosque. According to these documents, during the Safavid period, new neighborhoods were added to the city, which were divided into three categories; The first category of neighborhoods that were created in new places, the second category of neighborhoods that were in the place of old neighborhoods, but got a new name, "Ali Qali-Agha" neighborhood is one of these neighborhoods, and the third category is neighborhoods that were outside the city walls before the Safavid era. "Ali Qali-Agha" neighborhood was a part of a larger neighborhood called "Bidabadeh" which is currently known as a separate neighborhood.
Currently, this neighborhood is located in the first district of Isfahan according to the division of urban neighborhoods, which is limited to Jami Street from the north, Chaharbagh Lower Street from the east, Masjid Seyed Street from the south, and Panj Ramadan Street from the west.
